Ryan Becomes 'Survivor's First Casualty

"Survivor: The Amazon" made its hormone-charged debut Thursday night on CBS with a sexy new twist -- the competing tribes now pit men against women. But in an ego-crushing victory, the women beat the over-confident men in the very first immunity challenge. As a result, the testosterone-rich Tambaqui tribe had to vote off a member: Aspiring actor RYAN AIKEN, a single, 32-year-old model from Ellicott City, MD, was the first to go. Ryan's "self-absorbed" and immature ways became obvious early on, and ultimately was the reason he was "burnt" out of the Amazon.
The remaining "Survivor" studs are:
Likeable ALEX BELL, the 32-year-old single triathlete with a passion for Pringles and snowboarding. This athletes luxury item? A medal from one of his triathlons. Early reports place Alex as a fave among the ladies!
Principal BUTCH LOCKLEY, a married, 50-year-old professional out of Olney, IL, who loves JULIA ROBERTS, hunting, and teaching! Butch's luxury item: a school banner.
Lucky DANIEL LUE, a single, 27-year-old tax accountant from Texas, who loves wrestling, working out, and eating Lucky Charms cereal. Lue's mysterious luxury item: magnetic rings! Daniel's performance in the first immunity challenge was not impressive -- as he couldn't make it across the balance beam -- could it be too much muscle? Daniel must step it up and kiss up to his mates, or he could be the next to go!
Smartie DAVE JOHNSON, a real-life, 24-year-old, single, rocket scientist from Pasadena, CA. When Dave's not spacing out, he's climbing rocks and drinking beer! His luxury item? A sketch book and pencil -- no doubt for his latest groundbreaking ideas!
Worldly MATTHEW VON ERTFELDA, a 33-year-old single restaurant designer from Washington, D.C., who likes foreign language study and "hardcore adventure." Guess Matt's in the right place! Luxury item: a high school wrestling jacket.
Prankster ROB CESTERNINO, a single, 24-year-old computer project coordinator out of Wantagh, N.Y., who lives to tell jokes and watch "The Sopranos." Luxury item? A Magic 8 Ball -- a plus when deciding whom to vote off!
Family man and wannabe head honcho of the tribe ROGER SEXTON, a 56-year-old dad, husband, and Vice President of Estimating Company out of Valencia, CA. Thrill-seeking Roger loves mountain biking and the Oakland Raiders. His luxury item: dog tags from his days as a soldier in Vietnam. He has already been identified as the "bossy" member of the men's tribe -- which could be his downfall if he isn't careful!
Meet the Survivor Beauties!
Sweet CHRISTY SMITH, who's already made headlines for being the first deaf survivor. The 24-year-old single Children Adventure Guide for the Deaf says she wants to be on the show to promote deaf awareness -- and of course to win the cool cash! Her luxury item: sage, which seems to have been used for cooking fish already! Christy's main concern is her communication issues with the other ladies -- who left her behind when going on an outing.
Diva DEENA BENNETT, a married mother and 35-year-old deputy district attorney from Riverside, CA. Deena's luxury item (to loosen things up out in the Amazon): Water balloons!
Darling HEIDI STROBEL, a single, 24-year-old P.E. teacher from Missouri. This active gal loves running, writing poetry and HEATH LEDGER. Luxury item: jump rope. Hottie Heidi is liked by her tribe -- but even more so by the members of the Tambaqui troop!
Ambitious JANET KOTH, the 47-year-old married mother of two from Manchester, MO. Janet works as a travel agent and abstinence counselor, and considers herself a "risk-taker." Luxury item: daughter's teddy bear.
Lean JEANNE HEBERT, a 41-year old marketing married mama of three from MA! Jeanne's hobbies are walking, hiking and cooking, which could prove handy in the Amazon. Luxury item: massage oil.
Swimsuit model JENNA MORASCA -- another fave of the guys! The 21-year-old model from Pittsburgh, PA, might be a bit too prissy for the Amazon! Case in point, her luxury item: A "Zeta Crown" which she won in a beauty pageant.
Sentimental JOANNA WARD, a 31-year-old single guidance counselor out of Orangeburg, S.C. This sweet survivor brought a pic of her mom as her luxury item.
Sassy SHAWNA MITCHELL, a 23-year-old single fox in retail clothing sales from Redwood City, CA. Shawna loves soccer (hence her luxury item, a soccer ball), Snickers and JOHN MAYER.
