I think Chris totally deserved to win.  I think he is one of the best players ever

I don't approve of the way he won, after what he did to Julie, i was hoping Eliza would win.  But you can't say Chris didn't deserve it.

He outlasted
He outwitted
He Outplayed.

He was down 6-1 and was about to be the next boot.  Then he managed to stick around while this strong women's alliance self destructed.  Heck, after Leanne got booted he didn't even have a target on his back anymore! He's a master manipulator and though I don't 100% approve of his methods, outta the final three, he definitely deserved to win more than the other two.

Scout did NOTHING. She was a coat tail rider from the get go.  She thought about stirring things up, but never had the guts to do it.  Way under the radar.

Twila. what a nasty person. I don't know how she can stand there and justify saying those things to eliza. It's one thing to lie and backstab, all part of the game, but telling someone they don't deserve to be there at all?  And make personal attacks for no reason.  Get a grip Twila.  Eliza may have ridden coat tails, but so did you.  You road Ami's until she was no use to you anymore, you didn't even start playing the game until half way through, and you weren't very gracious about it all.

Chris deserved the win

I am happy he won, but that did  not suprise me. When JP said it is someone you wouldn't expect that through me off. I did expect Chris to win.
If anyone else won, that would have suprised me.
Congrats Chris. You lied your way to a million dollars.

I'm also glad that Chris won.  He was slated to be the very first person voted off, remember?  I think he only stayed on by the skin of his teeth in those first weeks.

In real life, I would NOT get along with someone like Twila.  Outspoken people intimidate me and make me want to shut them up before I run the other way!  However, Twila DID say some things that were hard to hear but were true.  I was laughing last night when she refused to apologize to Eliza!  How hilarious!  Eliza IS an immature, spoiled brat who talks too much and Twila (though not perfect herself) called her on it and Eliza was fit to be tied!  :laff:  Oh...how the truth hurts...

Anyway, I think it turned out about as well as could be expected.  I think Scout's speech at the final tribal council was by far the best and she showed a lot of grace.

Now then...was I mistaken or did I hear a few jeers from the audience when Dolly said that she had some lambs ready to go to market?  Must've been PETA reps...

Yeah, that's the first time we've seen someone lie their way to the $1 mil.  Roll Eyes

Chris is smart, if he went with the Julie/Elize alliance, he would have guarenteed a final 3 spot, he would have faced either one of them in the final 2 (assuming he reaches the final 2...) and I'm sure if he was up against either Julie or Eliza, Julie/Eliza would have gotten the majority of the votes, leaving Chris with only $100,000
He gambled when he went with Twila and Scout (meaning that he could have been voted off had he not won immunity two times in a row) and Twila would have picked Scout, and Scout would have picked Twila for the final 2 if either of them won the final 3 immunity.

Chris is easy to trust, and creates rapport with them really quick, his apologies to Julie and Elize seemed (note: seemed) sincere, and he acted non-chalant about Lea and Chad's votes, and he addressed LeAnn/Ami saying that he was just playing the game, well, one fell for it. Ami wouldn't stand the thought of a "man" winning the game.  Shocked
Also he encouraged Twila to not take any sh#t from the jury, LOL.

Best survivor season EVER...!!!!
Finally a worthy winner who knows how to manipulate and stay below the radar (ehem, Ami can manipulate.. but she's too obvious)

This is akin to Rob C winning Survivor 6, which unfortunately never happened.

You know, when Sarge was telling Chris that he was going to vote for Twila but wanted to know if that would affect their own friendship, I knew he was bluffing.  Chris gave a very good answer.  I found it very appealing that Chris didn't beg for votes.

If I had a dime for everytime Ami rolled her eyes during that tribal council, I could retire today.  I also find it interesting that she said last night that she had forgiven Twila (and garnered applause from the audience) yet in her CBS Morning Show interview said that she'd like to hold Twila's head underwater.  Neat concept:  forgiveness preceeded by baptism!

Who knows, maybe she was "misleading" Chen, so that it won't be obvious that she voted for Twila in the end.

I kind of think she was misleading us last night into thinking that she'd really forgiven Twila.  Lips Sealed

Chris played the game well right to the end. The only thing I would have done differently would be...

When they were final 5. Tell Julie he respects her more than Twila but to be honest he knows she would be more of a threat for the remaining immunity. That would have kept her as an ally in case he made it to final 2.

Next, instead of leading Eliza on let her know up front if he won IC he would vote for her since she was more of a threat for final IC. That would have made that whole situation more amiable.

If he had done those two I think he would have won with the same margin (Ami would never vote for a man in my mind) but he would have come off much nicer in the end.

Anyone who goes on Survivor and makes it that far will have to lie and break an alliance at some point. The key is to make sure those you backstab know it was for a good reason and not out of duplicity.

When Twila refused to appologize to Eliza I knew Chris would win. The only time I began to doubt it was when Scout called Chris out for being full of bullhockeypucks. He still managed to BS a bit after that and repair the damage Scout did and win the million though.
