this happened very often. a person having an alliance with someone who is stronger and a threat to others...

Vecepia and Sean Vector..
eventhough V and sean didnt admit they had an alliance, they seem looks like they have. (action speaks louder than words)
it worked for V.. when there are only 5 of them, 3 from new Maraamu and 2 from old Maraamu, Kat, Pappy and Neleh outnumbered the old Maraamu(V and Sean). and of course the trio voted Sean.

Jenna and Heidi:
in Amazon, Matt, Butch, Jenna, Heidi and Rob are the final 5. because of a sudden change of alliance. Jenna and Heidi got outnumbered..
and as a result, Jenna remained in the game since Heidi is more of a threat..

Christa, Sandra and Rupert:

this trio is unstoppable(they thought) when they merged.
then, there's a sudden change when Rupert got voted out. An unlikely alliance formed. then Darrah, Lill, Burton, JOn, Sandra and Christa are left. Christa got voted out over Sandra...

others:
Rob and Amber
Jenna L and Rupert
Lean and Ami(though Lean wasnt victorious since Ami won immunity)
Shii Ann and Kathy

that's all i can remember for now...

That's a good summary. Yes, I think that strategy is best if you wanted to go far in the Game, but not enough to let you win.

Also add Clay hiding behind Brian, although I think Brian purposely carried Clay to the Final 2.

I wouldn't say that he hid behind them. They weren't necessarily stronger in the challenges than him. He just got dumb towards the end of his allstar run.

lol. i liked him a little. in the 2nd ep, i thought he was a goner, but at least rudy was eliminated.

BTW, i didn't get to watch the 1st season, so i won't know how nice a person Rudy actually is.
