They are the nicest, most awesome couple, and I really hope they win!  Erik couldn't come but I got the chance to hang out with Jaime at the Louisville Survivor event in July.

Jaime and Erik Getting Married!

Jaime Dugan and Erik Huffman, who both appeared on Survivor China, are engaged to be married, and are asking friends to help them win a free wedding. Jaime is best known for throwing an immunity challenge and later playing a fake immunity idol, while Erik is best known for being a virgin who had his boxer briefs blurred. Both were members of the jury, and they announced they were dating at the live reunion last December.
 
The pair first met on Survivor: China as Zhan Hu tribe mates.  Once they discovered they were both from South Carolina and had grown up 25 miles apart, they became close friends.  As their trust grew, they decided to try to get to the end of the show together.  Dugan lasted 21 days, and Huffman lasted 33 days.
 
During the season finale of the show, they acknowledged that they were dating, after being grilled by Jeff Probst. This past May, Jaime graduated from college and moved to Nashville to be closer to Erik. He has lived there for the past five years and plays in the band FLOREZ. From that point, Erik had been planning the proposal.
 
To ask for Jaime’s hand, Erik flew her into Charleston, SC, for the weekend. “I told her I had a modeling shoot but went down earlier to ask her dad for his blessing,” he said. “I had also coordinated a photo shoot with photographer Jarrad Lister and convinced Jaime to do it. Jarrad and I had previously coordinated all of our secret language and cues. We took photos all over Charleston, and we ended up in the Battery, where I proposed to Jaime.”
 
Jaime was completely shocked.  She said, “When I saw Erik on his knee, I thought he was doing some funny pose, and just stared at him for a second and asked what he was doing [laughing].  I was so surprised!”
 
While planning their wedding which will take place in Charlestown, they discovered a ”Charleston Wedding Giveaway.” They entered the contest with a 5 minute video of themselves and learned this week that they are one of four finalists. If they win, they will receive a wedding package valued at roughly $80,000, to include a rehearsal dinner at Middleton Place, a ceremony/reception at Wild Dunes Resort, a Sunday brunch on Spiritline Cruises, and many more offers from Charleston’s finest vendors.

Of course, Erik is hoping that they win the contest and said, “Winning this wedding would be a huge blessing because weddings are so expensive.  Finances have not always been stable over the last few years in the music industry. And with Jaime working for a non-profit, we could really use financial help. If we win the wedding giveaway, we will be able to continue our jobs and hopefully get a house and a few pets.” He added, “Jaime has dreamed of having her wedding in Charleston. It would mean a lot to us to get married in South Carolina, surrounded by our family and friends.”
 
Erik’s band FLOREZ is currently on a 40+ show college tour this fall. They are promoting their latest release Not Alone EP. Jaime recently took a position at Mercy Ministries as Public Relations coordinator.

Jaime Dugan and Erik Huffman are busy planning their $80,000 wedding which they won from a Charleston, SC tourism promotion and it looks like it will also be a Survivor China reunion!
 
According to Dugan, several familiar Survivor: China faces will be among the more than 200 guests invited.
 
“The cast is on the guest list because they were there every step of the way,” Dugan told People. “[Survivor: China winner] Todd Herzog has already called us. He’s stoked and he’s coming. [Peih-Gee Law], [Sherea Lloyd] and [Frosti Zernow], they’ve already booked flights. I think we’re going to have [Leslie Nease] read at the ceremony.”
 
Dugan has also included The Amazing Race 13’s “best friends” team Marisa Axelrod and Brooke Jackson. They went to University with Dugan and will take on the role as bridesmaids.
 
“It will be a reality [show] get-together, but they’re all my close friends,” she told People about the wedding, which will take place on April 4, 2009.
 
Dugan and Huffman met while on Survivor: China’s Zhan Hu tribe in Summer 2007, and they realized that they grew-up only 25 miles apart from each other in South Carolina.
 
Huffman proposed to Dugan during a fake photo shoot he had staged this past summer.

I would love to see Jaime on the amazing race. :laff: Erik could be a good racer, but Jaime would wind up like her southern belle friends.
