It’s hard to believe that Nike’s patented Free Technology has turned a decade old this year. To celebrate the occasion, the Swoosh is bringing back a number of silhouettes that either inspired the creation of the outsole or were cogs in its system that allowed the advancement to flourish in this decade. Today we get a look at the nike free 3.0 Flyknit, a sneaker that form fits around your feet as if it were a sock itself. While this silhouette saw a number of vibrant hues, this time around the pair gets a simple black aesthetic while white hits the jagged sole and Swoosh. For the avid runner the Nike Free series is a staple for short distance runs and a great workout shoe for the average gym-goer. The newest addition to the series is the nike free run 3 EXT Sport Grey/Obsidian. The shoe is constructed with sport grey suede and obsidian mesh on the upper accompanied with a yellow midsole and iconic free bottom. Twenty illustrious seasons in the NFL, three Super Bowl rings, the all-time NFL leader in receptions, touchdown receptions, yards and renowned as one of the greatest wide-receivers to ever grace the turf – if anyone ever deserved their own signature sneaker, Jerry Rice is that guy. Made with the same commitment to constant improvement that Rice took in every game and training session he undertook, this newest nike free trainer 5.0 NRG commemorates Rice’s epic list of achievements on the inscribed insoles. On the outer, the upper is comprised of a San Francisco’s 49ers inspired colourway of white/black/chilling red/game medium brown, complemented with golden detailing and lace aglets for that tidy royal finish. Mimicking a pair of Air Max 95s that were unveiled earlier today (seen here), Nike is back to premiere the nike free run 2 “Triple Black.” Typically seen in bright, fluorescent hues, the Beaverton-based brand applies a trendy tonal black colorway to its fan-favorite Free Run 2 trainer. For the real sneakerheads “outchea,” this pair may look quite familiar as a similar rendition dropped a few years ago, however this time around Nike opts for leather overlays as opposed to the traditional use of suede.
