Black, white, and grey threads have always made up for the perfect pair of knit-uppered shoes. The Ultra Boost in particular has always looked its best with this combination dubbed “Cookies n cream”, and on March 6th the three-stripes brand is ready Asics Gel Lyte 3 Mujer to drop their award-winning silhouette in yet another rendition of this tasty colorway. In celebration of this upcoming launch, adidas just sent us this incredible over-sized milk carton that includes custom-made adidas Boost cookies, matching socks, and of course, the shoes.
Today in good sneaker news, Adidas is bringing back the shoe that changed what it meant to wear a running shoe. The Nike Air Huarache Damen Energy Boost—which launched five years ago, and returns for 2018 in its OG colorway—is back with a new anniversary pack. It comes in three styles, ranging from $150 to $220: the Energy Boost OG, Energy Boost, and UltraBoost LTD. All three will be available February 1 in stores and online.
Boost technology Adidas NMD Mujer revolutionized the sneaker industry. It was really the first time that a running shoe had both a lightweight and supportive feel; the Nike Air Max Thea Feminino sole was able to extract energy from a foot strike, instead of the foot strike eating any power the runner put behind it. It's the shoe that helped athletes like Mary Keitany and Dennis Kimetto crush marathon world records.
Of course, Boost didn't just revolutionize the sole of a sneaker. It also contributed to making a running sneaker work as a stylistic choice—that is, wearing it for walking around in your everyday life instead of actually running. Aside from the comfort element, the Boost silhouette made the running sneaker something sleek and cool. We'll be wearing these for a long while.
Last week we had the opportunity to test out the new adidas Solar Boost shoes ahead of their May 17 release. To create Nike Air Max Thea Mujer the sneakers, adidas utilized a technology called Tailored Fiber Placement (TFP) which allows for a lighter sneaker Nike Air Max 90 Dames overall. The TFP process knits the yarns for the upper together, making them stronger and providing better zones of impact that maximize running performance.
When trying them out, one of the first things that stood out was the ease of entry, almost sock-like with a good hug around the foot. There’s also a new lightweight fabric that replaces the midfoot cage and ultimately makes it a really comfortable fit. The heel collar is also similar to the Ultra Boost which adds a nice support for the Achilles.
Running shoes, or ‘Runners’ have been a mainstay in urban culture since the 80’s, and this year has been no different, but why? This year, it seems like every other weekend, whether it be an Adidas NMD, a new Yeezy, or Nike Air Zoom Mariah Flyknit Racer Donna an Ultra boost, thousands of people gather around either their laptops or a local Adidas retailer to grab a pair.
