The Nike Huarache almost never existed. The shoe, made from a stocking boot in a support exoskeleton, was definitely unusual when Nike started showing the prototypes in the early 1990s. Virtually no one gave orders, and Nike seemed to have little choice but to kill the idea. For Nike's luck, a product manager did not listen.
