After the re-release date of the Original NMD was pushed back for no apparent reason. On January 9th, Adidas officially announce over twitter that the “OG #NMD returns January 14 at adidas.com/NMD” To those unfortunate shoe collectors, the re-release will be another Nike Cortez Damen opportunity to get their hands on the very first pair of OG NMD.
The OG NMD comes with a black upper made out of Adidas’ unique fabric primeknit. As for the sole, it is made out of a full boost sole with red and blue color boxes known as “lego bricks”.
Most people have no knowledge about how hot this shoe really is. In the past 8 months Asics Gel Quantum 360 Femme adidas has taken the lead in the sneaker game over its main competitor Nike. Adidas first came out with the Ultraboost in February 2015, followed by the Yeezy 750 by Kanye West a few months after, and now the NMDs are trending. What really separates this shoe from others is the way it was created. Many believe that the NMD is a creation made out of a few different shoes from previous concepts.
Many say that the NMD is a concept of two adidas sneakers from an early line dating back to the 1980s. The Adidas NMD Dame “Rising star” and the “Boston Super” both of these shoes had the same concept of the “lego bricks”. Adidas is known for mixing things up by bringing back some of their iconic footwear from the early 1990s 1980s era and utilizing with their new and innovative technologies to create a more fitting fashion environment while still holding Nike Air Max 90 Damen on to the level of performance a shoe should be.
For example, the Stan Smith, a shoe that was manufacture in 1964 but effectively began selling after 1971 and slowly died out by 2011. Consumers quickly became concern about adidas stopping the manufacture of the Stan Smiths. In 2014 adidas decided to bring the shoe back making a successful Nike Air Max 2017 Mujer comeback. Stan Smiths are now one of adidas high demand shoes in the US. You can get yourself a fresh pair of Stand Smiths online for a retail price of $75. However, Adidas Gazelle Femme I have noticed that the creation on the NMD includes one more shoe.. I believe the NMD is also mixed with the Pureboost.
The adidas Pureboost was released on October 2014. According to solereview, “The adidas Pureboost easily takes the prize for being the worst running shoe”. I personally own 3 pairs of the Pureboost including the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 Damen first generation and second generations. The Pureboost just like the NMD is not a running shoe at all. Both shoes are made without an insole, therefore when running the individual’s foot moves forward creating friction with the upper primeknit causing a blister on the individual’s toes. Adidas advertises the shoe as an athletic performance Nike Air Presto Womens shoe but they are both far from competing in any events. For now, the NMD will continue to drive adidas fashion up the next level. I am very excited to see what adidas comes up with next in both the fashion and performance industry.
