KABUL Curtis Samuel Jersey , March 28 (Xinhua) -- An explosion and ensuing gunshot occurred in western Kabul on Friday, officials said.
"A powerful explosion shocked Kart-e-Char area in western Kabul at around 03:50 p.m. (local time). A suicide car bombing is suspected," a security official told Xinhua.
The target of the attack was unknown. However, several guesthouses and a police station were located in the area, about two km away from the parliament building.
