Fried Twinkies and other CNN news

Well I have been watching CNN.com today to follow the sniper incidents and progress as I have friends and family in the vicinity.
 
Meanwhile here are some other tidbits I learned from CNN:
 
1.  Red heads require 20 percent more anaesthesia because of a genetic trait they have
 
2.  You can fry Twinkies and if you had a little powdered sugar they are yummy.  This idea came from some restaurant workers who were bored and decided to deep fry some junk food.  
 
Look for this item at your next state fair.
 
3.  Duct Tape is more effective at killing warts than cryotherapy.  Kids especially love this finding.

1.  Genetic trait??  Is hard headed a genetic trait?  Grin
 
2.  Frying twinkies?  Oh great, like stuffing them down isn't already the highway to a heart attack!  Now somebody wants to put in an express lane!! :faint:
 
3.  We (I know, I know,  I should say "Us'n" to fit the profile) Southern boys have known for years that Duct Tape IS the solution to ALL problems! Grin  "hey Earl, hand me that thar duct tape, the leg dun fell off muh chear", "and whilst yer at it, put a smidgeon on that wart on yur han"

Our state fair is going on right now and they are selling fried twinkes.  They were profiled last week.
 
Adding to the duct tape, you have to wear it 6 days and it completely breaks down the wart.

The hottest new food item at the Indiana State Fair this year was fried Snickers bars.

:sunny: about a year or so ago there was a 2 day special on good morning america on english culture.  they did a large food segment and it was then that i heard about the fried twinkies and the snicker bars.  they are very common snacks  there.  i have a woman at work who speaks the queens english and i asked her then about how those foods tasted. she said they were pretty good.. seems that if is now a hit here as well.  i have yet to try them or go to a place where they were avilable.  our state fair will be in town at the end of october --first week of november..i will keep an eye out.  i have to try them at least once!
