Lewd Schwarzenegger Interview Uncovered
Wed, Aug 27, 2003, 04:08 PM PT

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - It looks like his father's affiliation with the Nazi party isn't the only thing Arnold Schwarzenegger would rather remain in the past.

Ever since the "Terminator" actor announced his candidacy for the California governorship, the muckraking has begun full force.

On the Internet on The Smoking Gun, the ex-bodybuilder's 1977 interview given to now-defunct adult magazine Oui, published by Playboy, reveals his own sordid past.

In the interview, Schwarzenegger, who was then 29, weighs in on several taboo topics including drug use, group sex and penis size.

He details his participation in an orgy in a California gym, how he has sex to prep him for competition and how musclemen aren't endowed any differently from other men.

The Oui interviewer, Peter Manso, elicits revealing quotes from the former Mr. Olympia. The language is blunt, graphic and often blue. He discusses:

-- The bodybuilder orgy with one woman in a Venice, California gym: "Everybody jumped on her and took her upstairs, where we all got together."

-- Whether he feels exploited by women for his physique: "No, I'd feel used only if I didn't get something out of it."

-- His pre-competition strategy: "I get laid on purpose. I can't sleep before a competition and I'm up all night, anyway ..."

-- His physical endowment: "It doesn't grow in relation to the shoulders, say, or the pectorals. You can't make it bigger through exercise, that's for sure."

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Arnold Schwarzenegger spelled out his views on issues ranging from abortion to taxes in a radio broadcast Wednesday, bowing to weeks of criticism that the action star's campaign has been all style and no substance.

Schwarzenegger's comments were his most detailed to date in his bid to replace Gov. Gray Davis in the October 7 recall election. But he did not give a position on affirmative action or Proposition 54, an initiative on the recall ballot that would ban collection of most racial data by state institutions. He also left open the possibility of raising taxes in an emergency situation.

The Republican said he is in favor of legalizing marijuana for medicinal purposes and protecting a woman's right to abortion, but against gay marriage and granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.

Schwarzenegger gave his opinions on those and other hot-button issues during a call to the syndicated Sean Hannity radio show, which also was broadcast live on Fox Television.

Some of his responses, including his opposition to gay marriage and his support of prayer in public schools, could play well with the state's conservatives. They so far have been wary of him and have supported state Sen. Tom McClintock, Schwarzenegger's main challenger among Republicans on the ballot.

His more liberal positions on abortion and marijuana, however, as well as his support for a ban on assault weapons, could undercut some of that support.

McClintock said he got the impression Schwarzenegger was becoming more conservative as the campaign moved along.

"I've been in the public arena for 20 years. Positions I've taken have not changed in 20 years," McClintock said. "I am pro-life; I believe in the right of people to self-defense. It's enshrined in the Second Amendment. And again, these are positions that people can count on."

Schwarzenegger described himself to Hannity as "pro-choice" but said he did not support late-stage procedures described as "partial-birth" abortions.

Asked whether he is in favor of parental notification when minors seek abortions, he replied, "I am. But in some cases when there is abuse in the family or problems in the family, then the courts should decide."

Asked about gay marriage, Schwarzenegger said, "I do support domestic partnerships" but added that he was against gay marriage. He said marriage should be between a man and a woman.

Although his positions on such issues have nothing to do with ending California's financial crisis, which Schwarzenegger has said would be his main concern as governor, they are important because they could help him gain support from the conservative wing of the Republican Party.

GOP concern
Party leaders have expressed concerns that Davis could be recalled only to be replaced by Democratic Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante if Republicans split their votes.

Secretary of state figures released Thursday show Democrats continue to hold an edge among registered voters, 44 percent to the GOP's 35 percent, despite a slight upturn in Republican registrations since last September.

A recent Los Angeles Times poll showed Schwarzenegger leading fellow Republicans McClintock and former baseball commissioner Peter Ueberroth, but trailing Bustamante.

Schwarzenegger criticized Bustamante's self-titled "tough love" budget proposal, which combines cuts with new taxes on cigarettes and the wealthy.

"People have to realize that he's the same as Gray Davis. It's the same mold; nothing has changed," he said. "It will be exactly the same, which is, 'Oh we made a mistake, oh we want to continue spending.' How can we continue spending money that we don't have?"

McClintock immediately took Schwarzenegger to task for not completely ruling out raising taxes.

"The last time you want to raise taxes is in an emergency. That's why you maintain budget reserves," McClintock said immediately afterward on Fox News.

Meanwhile, Davis was trying to go about business as usual as he was scheduled to sign a sweeping financial privacy bill. The new law would give California consumers the right to block banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions from sharing much of their personal information.

Schwarzenegger Creamed With Egg; Talks to Himself
Wed, Sep 03, 2003, 05:09 PM PT

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Arnold Schwarzenegger, action hero-turned political wannabe, was creamed with an egg at a campaign rally as he walked through a crowd Wednesday (Sept 3) at California State University in Long Beach, CA.

"You have such a fantastic life, Arnold, you make millions of dollars to do movies and all those kinds of things, why do you want to do this?" Schwarzenegger asked himself.

He answered his rhetorical question with, "You know something, because everything that I've gotten my career, my money, my family everything that I've gotten and achieved is because of California."

As Schwarzenegger pumped up the crowd, a raw egg splattered on the back of his left shoulder. An underling tried to clean off the "Terminator" star, but he simply removed his coat and kept talking, according to ABC News.

"This guy owes me bacon now," he joked later. "I mean there's no two ways about it because, I mean, you can't just have eggs without bacon. But this is all part of, you know, the free speech."

All this crap about AS is making me nauseous.  Back when Bill Clinton was running for President, I actually became enamoured of him, everything he said - yeah, and he wasn't exactly hard to look at either.

I voted for him - and in my mind, I dissed all the garbage that the media brought out about his philandering ways.  If Hillary was willing to stand by her man, that was good enough for me.  Embarassed

I didn't vote him in re-election though.  Given all that - and all that's coming out about MrPumpYouUp - why in the world would anyone in their right mind vote for AS?  Seriously!  Why?  Now, I think I "get" why his wife has had such a weird face lately.  The Kennedy (unless something has changed) family aren't backing him either.
