Bouncing Baby Boy for Daddy Dave
(Tuesday, November 04 11:58 PM)

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Late Monday night (Nov. 3) David Letterman became a father, but by Tuesday afternoon, his paternity leave was over.
At the Tuesday taping of CBS' "Late Show," Letterman introduced the audience to his son, Harry Joseph Letterman. Proudly showing off a picture of the infant, Letterman looked tired, but obviously emotional.

"I could never imagine ever being a part of something that turned out this beautiful," Letterman gushed.

The baby, born to the late night host's longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko, weighed in at 9 pounds, 11 ounces and is 21 inches long. This is the first child for Letterman, 56, who named his son after his father, who died at 57.

"So God bless dad and God bless Harry," Letterman said.

Letterman, who left Monday's hosting duties to bandleader Paul Shaffer, wasn't without humor.

"I don't know, maybe I shouldn't have done this. First thing I took him home and dangled him over the balcony," he joked, referring, of course, to the scandal caused when Michael Jackson presented his young son to a cheering crowd by dangling it out a window.

The night's Top Ten List concentrated on reasons Letterman was excited to be a father, culminating with the No. 1 reason:

"There is now tangible evidence I have sex," he said.

I hope Mom and baby are doing well but I feel Dave was self motivated having a child at his age! What will he be able to do with his son once he gets to age where he will want to play ball with Dad?! How fair is it to bringa child into this world that will most likley be Fatherless before he becomes a teen?! How will this child fel when he goes to school and his Dad is called his Grandfather by mistake. Dont get me wrong I hope the best for all of them but what was Dave thinking when he decided to have a child I can tell you one thing it wasnt the child! Bless you and your family Dave
