Jackson's Jet has landed at SB Airport

Play By Play:

It landed approx 30 mins ago and pulled partway into a hangar.  The hangar doors closed in tightly so as to obscure the people getting off and on.

Well, all I can say is - MJ - ever heard of longrange lenses?  A camera has the stairs from the plane in view - hazy, but better than nothing.

As I type, the doors are opening wide now to allow a police vehicles inside to caravan into town.  Confirmation as to whether Jackson is in one of those vehicles has yet to come to pass.  But - DUH!  The black SUV with blacked out windows must be the one carrying Whacko Jacko.

The trip should take only 5 - 7 minutes.  More than likely, Jackson has been Marandized and I'd love to see him cuffed.

Now turning off Calle Real onto 101 South (12:17PM Pacific time)  - just exited 101 and heading towards the Courthouse area.  He'll be booked at the hdqtrs across the street.

Reporters, etc., are all over the place but it's possible he'll be allowed to enter the bldg through the back way.

I see atty Mark Garagos - THERE HE IS - THE SCUM and he IS HANDCUFFED!  12:25PM Pacfic time!

Sorry if I've offended you or anyone here for posting about this.  It's not that I "care" - it's that I'd like to see this case through and because it's about overt molestation of children.

At this time - Jackson has been posted out and it appears he's heading up to the ranch.  That he has been allowed to plunk down some $3 mil - and walk away - is another reason I'm watching.

:laff: Mugshot :laff:

Apparently he's flying up to the ranch.  That should take all of 5 mins.  There are tons of reporters and fans waiting.   Roll Eyes

Edited because he flew back to Las Vegas.   Angry

I'm in total agreeance with you on that Rhune.  I could give a hot damn about MJ personally.  I'm more concerned about what he's done to little children.  Speaking of "just desserts".......

I don't understand why MJ was allowed to fly out of CA. - let alone the next county.  WTF is going on?  He posted and they let him go back to Las Vegas?  He doesn't have a job there anymore.  That special he was taping was shelved until which time MJ's innocence or guilt is tried and proven in a court of law.

His best friends - Liz Taylor and Liza Minneli - have apparently dropped him - or so it seems.

Jackson surrenders in Santa Barbara
Escorted to jail in handcuffs

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) -- A handcuffed Michael Jackson walked into a Santa Barbara jail on Thursday to face child molestation charges that could send the pop superstar to prison for years if he is convicted.

A private jet landed at a local airport shortly before noon and rolled its nose into the partly opened doors of a hangar. A caravan of cars left the hangar and arrived at a county building shortly afterward.

Jackson, his hands cuffed behind his back, was escorted into the county's main jail shortly after noon.

Sheriff Jim Anderson said the booking would take about an hour and that Jackson was expected to immediately post his $3 million US bail.

Earlier Thursday, Jackson's lawyer, Mark Geragos, confirmed that the surrender was being arranged in Santa Barbara, where throngs of camera crews and news reporters awaited his arrival.

Jackson had left North Las Vegas Airport aboard a leased jet late Thursday morning heading for Santa Barbara Municipal Airport. The jet was said to be carrying Jackson, his family and a bodyguard.

Jackson, 45, had been in Las Vegas filming a music video when dozens of law enforcement agents swarmed his Neverland Ranch compound near Santa Barbara on Tuesday to serve a search warrant. Authorities announced Wednesday that an arrest warrant alleging child molestation had been issued. He had not been formally charged.

A family friend, Steve Manning, told ABC's Good Morning America on Thursday that Jackson's family came to Las Vegas to support him. "He feels he's been wrongly accused and he's going to fight this tooth and nail," Manning said. "He's at war right now and he's going to use any weapon he has to fight these charges."

Jackson is charged by the state with lewd or lascivious acts with a child under age 14, punishable by three to eight years in prison, law enforcement officials said. His lawyer is also handling the defence in the Laci Peterson murder case.

"Get over here and get checked in," District Attorney Thomas Sneddon advised the self-proclaimed King of Pop at a news conference broadcast worldwide Wednesday.

"Michael would never harm a child in any way," Jackson spokesman Stuart Backerman said in a statement. "These scurrilous and totally unfounded allegations will be proven false in a courtroom."

Similar allegations surfaced against Jackson a decade ago, but they never led to the filing of criminal charges and in 1994 the probe became inactive. Jackson had maintained his innocence but reportedly paid a multimillion-dollar civil settlement, and the child would not testify in any criminal proceeding.

Sneddon said this case was different because he had a co-operative victim and because of a change in state law "specifically because of the 1993-94 Michael Jackson investigation."

Sneddon told the news conference multiple counts would be filed against Jackson "in a very short period of time," and noted that no civil case has been filed and none is expected, unlike 1993.

Sneddon would not say when or where the alleged crimes took place or how old the child was. He said an affidavit outlining the details will be sealed for 45 days.

But Brian Oxman, who has been a lawyer for the Jackson family for years but is not directly representing Michael Jackson in this case, told CBS that the case involves the alleged molestation of a 12-year-old boy at Neverland Ranch, the storybook playground where the singer has been known to hold sleepover parties with children.

In a documentary broadcast on ABC earlier this year, Jackson said he had slept in a bed with many children. "When you say 'bed,' you're thinking sexual," he said in the interview. "It's not sexual, we're going to sleep. I tuck them in. ... It's very charming, it's very sweet."

Jackson, in a statement Tuesday, noted that the allegations surfaced the same day a new greatest hits CD, Number Ones, was released, but the district attorney dismissed any connection.

"Like the sheriff and I are really into that kind of music," Sneddon said.

On Wednesday, CBS pulled a Jackson music special planned for next Wednesday on his greatest hits and the impact on pop culture of the former child star who got his start with his brothers as a member of the singing-and-dancing Jackson 5.

The singer had international hits with the albums Thriller (1982), Bad (1987) and Dangerous (1991), but saw his career begin to dim after the 1993 allegations.

I'm not "offended" at all, I just never cease to be amazed at the News Channels.  Play by play, ongoing helicopter "live" TV coverage, and on and on.

. . . I guess what makes me sick is that the various news sources try to elevate this crap to the level of "breaking news" and devote so much time to it.

This has to be one of the first times I disagree with you Bump darlin'.  IMNSVHO, if Mr. Murrow were alive today, he'd be right in there with the media fray.  Remember - he was one of the first to have "live" interviews by going into stars homes and the famous Christmas Whitehouse interview with Jaqueline Kennedy.

Jackson Web Site Proclaims Innocence

LOS ANGELES - Michael Jackson (news), addressing his fans directly via a new Web site, says the child molestation allegations made against him are "predicated on a big lie" and he will be exonerated in court.

The entertainer's spokesman, Stuart Backerman, had said last week that Jackson was putting the site together so he could communicate with the news media and fans. Jackson said in his statement that it would serve as a source for "official communications on my case."

"As you know, the charges recently directed at me are terribly serious," Jackson said in the six-paragraph statement. "They are, however, predicated on a big lie. This will be shown in court, and we will be able to put this horrible time behind us."

Jackson surrendered to Santa Barbara County authorities on Thursday after an arrest warrant was issued alleging he committed lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14.

He was released on $3 million bail. Authorities have said they expect to file formal charges sometime after Thanksgiving.

Jackson said his attorneys have advised him to say little about the matter until it is resolved.

"No doubt, this will be frustrating for all of us," he added.

He also urged people to be skeptical of those representing themselves as his friends or claiming to speak for him.

"With few exceptions most of them are simply filling a desperate void in our culture that equates visibility with insight," he said. "We will not engage in speculation. We will not provide running commentary on every new development or allegation du jour. We intend to try our case in the courtroom, not in the public or the media."

Meanwhile, actress Elizabeth Taylor (news) broke her silence about the accusations, defending her close friend and blasting the media.

"I believe Michael is innocent and that he will be vindicated," Taylor said Sunday in a statement released through her publicist.

Taylor had previously refused to speak to the media about the charges against Jackson, who hosted Taylor's 1991 wedding to construction worker Larry Fortensky at Neverland.

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The boy who accuses Michael Jackson of molesting him participated in a documentary about the pop music star, according to two sources, one close to the boy's family and the other close to the 45-year-old singer.

The boy, who was 12 at the time the film was made, is a cancer survivor who stayed overnight with Jackson in the singer's bedroom at his Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara County.

Jackson on Monday launched a Web site dedicated to countering the accusations against him -- in his words, "a big lie." Jackson said the Web site (http://www.MJnews.us) would be "a source of official communications." (Full story)

The alleged victim and Jackson appear in the documentary holding hands through much of the interview which caused a stir when it was broadcast in February.

"Why can't you share your bed? The most loving thing to do is to share your bed with someone, " Jackson said in the documentary.

"You say, 'You can have my bed if you want it. Sleep in it. I'll sleep on the floor. It's yours.' I always give the beds to the company."

"It's not sexual. We're going to sleep," he said, adding that he would not mind if his three children slept with an adult whom he knew and trusted.

In June, the boy's family retained the services of Los Angeles attorney Larry Feldman, the source close to the family said.

According to the source, Feldman took the boy to see a therapist and afterward referred the case to the Santa Barbara district attorney's office. Feldman would not say whether he is representing the family.

A second source -- this one close to the pop star -- has confirmed to CNN that the boy in question was indeed the accuser.

Filmmaker Martin Bashir spent eight months as part of Jackson's entourage to produce the documentary, called "Living with Michael Jackson."

In it, Jackson said he allowed children to stay with him in his bedroom, despite a high-profile 1993 investigation into sexual misconduct allegations involving a 13-year-old boy.

After the program was broadcast, Jackson issued a statement saying he was "devastated" and calling Bashir a "salacious ratings-chaser."

"I am bewildered at the length to which people will go to portray me so negatively," Jackson said in a statement at the time. "I will say again that I have never, and would never, harm a child. It sickens me that people have written untrue things about me."

Under California law, merely sleeping with a child, without "affirmative, offensive conduct," isn't criminal, Santa Barbara County District Attorney Thomas W. Sneddon Jr. said in a statement issued in February.

A source close to Jackson on Sunday denounced what he called media speculation about the origin of the complaints.

"If, when and until the Santa Barbara County district attorney actually files a complaint, speculation about a complainant or speculation about who is bringing the charges is totally irresponsible," the source told CNN Sunday.

Jackson was never charged in the 1993 case. He reportedly paid a multimillion-dollar out-of-court settlement to the boy's family. Jackson said he agreed to the settlement to avoid dragging out the case.

Last week, Santa Barbara County authorities issued an arrest warrant for Jackson on suspicion of child molestation, and the singer surrendered to them Thursday. He was released on $3 million bond after being booked, fingerprinted and photographed. (Full story)

He returned to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he had been filming a music video. Jackson's father has a house there.

The arrest warrant was issued Wednesday following a search of Neverland Ranch. (Full story)

Sneddon's office said formal charges of lewd or lascivious contact with a child younger than 14 would be filed against Jackson after Thanksgiving.

Jackson is scheduled to be arraigned January 9 in Santa Barbara Superior Court. A single count of child molestation can carry a prison sentence of up to eight years.

Meanwhile, the Jackson camp kept up its offensive against the negative publicity surrounding the singer's arrest last week.

Jackson spokesman Stuart Backerman said: "Our ducks are being lined up for counterattack to set the record straight."

Backerman said several people involved in the case -- including Sneddon and prominent attorney Gloria Allred, who has asked state authorities to take custody of Jackson's children while the case proceeds -- held a "personal dislike of Michael Jackson and want to see him destroyed."

Family and friends have rallied around the self-proclaimed "King of Pop" since his arrest.

Fans in Los Angeles, New York, Budapest, Rome and other cites around the world held candlelight vigils over the weekend. Other rallies were planned this week in China and Australia. (Full story)

Jermaine Jackson defended his younger brother during an interview Friday with ABC's Barbara Walters, saying he would request a state and federal investigation into the authorities working on the case. (Full story)

"If, when and until the Santa Barbara County district attorney actually files a complaint, speculation about a complainant or speculation about who is bringing the charges is totally irresponsible," the source told CNN.

Oh yeah, MIchael, we share our beds, but it is normal for it to be a member of the opposite sex and close to our age!
Like a husband or wife at age 45!

This is no surprize for we allknew he would get caught up with again!  It is just sad that he has these three young children to be drug through this!   Prison?  He would never survive it, should this ever occur at all!
Remember O.J.?

My personal opinion is those 3 young children have a shot at growing up normal if they are removed from his care.  Right now the little boys don't even have their own identies...they have the SAME name. They are both named Prince Michael Jackson.

Another factor thrown into this mix is - that Michael has stated more than once, under several circumstances/reasons, he won't continue to live if he can't have children in his life.  He has strongly intimated he would rather be dead.

Much speculation is being thrown out there, and "what if's" - if he's separated from children - most especially his own?  There have been several inferences as to whether Michael is already on "suicide watch".   If he isn't, he should be.

I believe his arraignment is due up on Dec 8/9 and if he's incarcerated, I truly believe he'll need to be watched.  I also think that -  for all his "I am innocent - I will be vindicated" statements - in his heart and mind is he could/would commit suicide.

I know of no known programs/therapies/medications that can undo a pedaphile.  I call MJ out as a pedaphile.  So, if he can't be helped or stopped - then we should be extremely concerned more for the children he has violated.

And as far as the two women who gave birth to MJ's spawn - I don't hold them as abettors to said violation.  The mother of two of his children agreed from the top to not "mother" them; she did this under contract and she did this (idiotically and stupidly) because she believed MJ was wonderful.  The surregate donated her eggs to his sperm and carried the baby.  Nothing other than that was expected of her, nor did she plan to do other than be a vessel.

What we have is a vast public of adorers of Michael Jackson - his music, his dancing and his charm.  They're willing - worldwide - to turn a blind eye to the evil in him.

My sorrow and anger rests on those who couldn't or didn't (try) to stop the insanity wrought against innocent children by one Michael Jackson.

In the interest of "innocent until proven guilty", I think we should stop the overwhelming coverage on TV.    If there is proof of wrongdoing, it will come out in court.    The whole media circus atmosphere surrounding this case appalls me.    Even if most of us think Jackson is guilty, what about all the children who have stayed at the ranch.    Are they going to be followed and questioned by reporters?  Seeing the way the gutter press and papparatzi (there's that word again) go after people is frightening to me.  Anyone can be accused of anything.

Having said that, yes he creeps me out.  He acts strangely, and looks spooky.   Sleeping with children is totally wrong.  You'd think he'd have learned something after his mess 10 years ago.

I agree Pocket.

It's a shame and a sad statement of today's idea of "journalism" when all the networks, and establishment newspapers and magazines all try to outdo each other in sensationalizing these non-stories.  They all wind up in the same class as the National Enquirer when they do it.  Before it's all over, Dateline, 20/20, Primetime, 48Hours, and all the rest will I'm sure, have their OWN "special journalistic report on Jackson.  Mark my words.
