Roy Horn home for Christmas

The Associated Press

:clapping:LAS VEGAS - Illusionist Roy Horn of “Siegfried & Roy” returned to his home Monday to continue his rehabilitation under the care of a team of doctors and therapists.

Horn spokesman Dave Kirvin said the magician arrived Monday afternoon from UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was treated after being mauled by a 300-pound white tiger on Oct. 3.

Kirvin declined to discuss the 59-year-old Horn’s condition. Horn had been moved to UCLA Medical Center on Oct. 28 after initially being hospitalized in Las Vegas.

Doctors have released few details since the tiger attacked Horn during a sold-out performance at The Mirage hotel-casino.

Horn suffered a stroke after the attack and lost a lot of blood but has shown signs of improvement, family spokesmen have said.

His partner, Siegfried Fischbacher, has downplayed Horn’s injuries from the attack, describing the illusionist’s wound as “a little punch hole” on the left side of his neck. Fischbacher has said a stroke Horn suffered afterward resulted from blood pressure medication that sometimes made him feel faint.

MGM Mirage officials say Horn has a long recovery ahead of him, and the long-running show has been closed.

The senility to forget the people I never liked
The good fortune to run into the ones that I do
And the eyesight to tell the difference."
