Michael Jackson

At the risk of totally alienating myself, I would like to make a few comments.  We all have a right here to say how we feel.  And I have come a long way in the past year in advancing my Christian values.  Or at least I have tried.  In this new year, I hope to come even further in not being judgemental and having a kinder and more accepting heart.  Even in the case with my stepsister.

At this point, Michael Jackson has not been proven guilty of any crime. Other than the fact that he lives a strange life and does abnormal things to his body, I am in no position to judge him.  I also find it very hard to believe that he would do something so vile as to damage his future and his art and his life as a humanitarian.  Today I watched a tape I had made of the Radio Music Awards from late last year.  I was very impressed with the award he received. One created especially for him: the RMA Humanitarian Award. I had no idea that after 9/11, he renewed his vow for raising money for the world.  We Are the World Part 2 was born.  The respect he has among his peers is amazing to me.  The video of the recording of the new record brought me to tears.  The dedication he has to giving is beyond me.  I'm sorry if no one agrees, but I have to salute someone who goes to the lengths that he does to inspire us ALL to give of ourselves.   I'm beyond the facts of pettiness about the way he looks.  He, as all of us, deserves to be heard. Unconditionally.  After all, isn't that what we are supposed to do? Love unconditionally.  I for one hope he is acquitted of these allegations. And at this point, that is all they are. Allegations.  How would you feel if all the world was against you?  Bashed you and threw you to the wolves?  And I will be the first to admit I was wrong if he is sent to prison.  For the record, I believe someone is out for money.

Look, LL, you have the same right to voice your opinion as does everyone else here.  Speaking for myself, you're not alienating at all.

He hasn't yet gone to trial.  To me, he's guilty on several counts, due to the lies he tells.

As far as winning a Humanitarian Award from RMA - how does that undo all the other things MJ has - himself- claimed to be "guilty" of?

We'll see.  I DO believe he's vile.  Be hanged with his art/life/humanitarianism.  When there are children who accuse him of molestations....that's it for me.  And I know children too....and I know children can lie like the dickens.

I'm sick to death at the way he looks.  OTOH, I could care less.  I care mostly about his actions alledgedly against children.

Hearing him out, unconditionally, has nothing to do with "loving unconditionally."

That is quite possible.  More than one professional has suggested this.  But like I said - we'll see - in time, we'll see.

Thank you for your imput LL!  You're a very sweet lady!

OK is missed the day MZ was appointed judge and jury...please tell me what lies you have found him guilty of and other things that he claimed to be guilt to...

Personally...I don't know if he is guilty or not, some of his actions are very inappropriate.

Everyone needs to be able to express their opinions without being or feeling alienated...thats all...stepping off my soapbox for now Smiley

Oh my.......I'm not jury or judge.  I suggest that you go back and read all that is written about him, his quotes, etc.

At this point - I won't go back that far.

Okay okay ladies.  I am certainly not up for debating the MJ issue.  He will have his judgement day and we know it won't be on this earth.

I never make new years resolutions, but this year I did. And it's to be more like my Mom.  To try more to have a kinder and gentler heart towards others and not be as judgemental.  Also to give more of myself selflessly.  All other matters aside, I feel that MJ has done that himself.  Always giving back.   So there you have it, just another viewpoint.  Something funny.  The first time I ever got into trouble over at iii was for expressing an alternative view in the Political/Current Events forum about the war in Iraq.     Grin    I think I'll just stick with the fun stuff from now on. lol

LL, you have every right to your opinion.  No, we are not to be the judge and jury at all.  I for one certainly hope this is not true of him.  He is strange and when a high profile person is as strange as he, it does give others, meaning the L.A. police cause, they think, to go after him.  80 officers in one bedroom, come on now!  I have no doubt they were rough on him when he was finally arrested.
Hopefully he will be found innocent and as you say, it could be all about money.
He gave cause for folks to try and get him by dangling the baby, then the interview with the boy telling he slept in Michael's bed.  If he is indeed innocent, hopefully, he will get some much needed counseling on growing up!  Plus watching out for inviting young boys over to spend the night.  It does all "look" very suspicious indeed.

Michael, in my opinion, is one of the greatest musical talents ever born.  He has invented so many sounds that go into recordings now that never did before.  His talent is unmatched and we can only hope that the truth wins out and innnocent is the word, and his musical talent will go on.

I just wish he had stayed a young black man, instead of trying to turn into Diana Ross!

Your opinion is your own LL, just as mine is mine.  No one has proved him gujilty yet, except maybe the media.

Personally I love his music, his voice and dancing.  However the crotch thing should never have been put into his act.  Aside fro that, he is one great entertainer and musician!

His heart may be in the right place,  but his actions give way for others to be suspicious of him and I so wish this were not the case.

Before one of you corrects me, I'll correct it myself.  It was the Santa Barbara Police Dept, not L.A.  Oh well! Roll Eyes

Boy!  Did you ever hit the nail on the head there.   Many of us (worldwide) have expressed vile things we'd like to do to Hussein, bin Laden, etc.  None of that could compare to the Day these contemptable earthlings face their Judgement Day.

Where/what is iii?  And if they treated you badly, then pooh on them.  Something similar happened to moi at another place and another time, on the same subject.

The difference here though, you, loverly LL, can speak on any subject of your choosing here at FN without repercussions.  Some of us may disagree with another poster's view - but that's about as far as it goes.  And, as QT did, we'll come to another poster's defense - if we think it's necessary.

Oh, and FYI to FN, I sent LL a pm of apology - which she graciously accepted.    I re-read my post and could see how she (or others) might have taken it negatively.   :shame2: on me!

Much love and many more  :grouphug2: me dear!   Kiss

What I have learned since posting here is that when I have a very passionate opinion on an issue, I usually do not post it at that time.  Sometimes I will go back later and tone down my view point.
Sometimes I also have had others to make me feel I've been attacked.  As Rhune says, this is a place where we can have different points of view and opinions but we should not use it as a place to attack another member.

I really don't feel members mean to make any of us be on the defensive, but in print, instead of face to face, things come across differently.
Everyone have a good day!

ooops!  I misspelled place!
