The Ontario Provencial Police issued an Amber Alert for the infant after he was removed from the Windsor Regional Metro Hospital on Saturday.

One Day Old Boy was abducted from Windsor Regional Metro Hospital on Saturday afternoon January 31.

The child is in need of medical treatment.

Ontario Provincial Police are looking for Diana Jayne a black female, 5' 5", with a medium build wearing hospital clothing and Bret Lamb a white male, 23 yrs. 5' 9" with blond hair, brown eyes and a medium build.

He was last seen wearing a long blue Navy knee length coat.

The baby may be in a black duffle bag and the suspects may be traveling to London or Toronto Ontario.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Windsor Police Service 519-255-6700 ex 4117 or dial 911.

The Fort Bend County Texas Sheriff's office issued the Amber Alert after the boy was abducted late Friday afternoon.

Wesley Marshalek was abducted in Fort Bend County Texas, South West of Houston on Friday afternoon.

He is a white male, 3 yrs., 3', 35 lbs. With brown hair and green eyes.

Police are looking for Robert Keith Christensen a white male, 36 yrs., 5'10", 165 lbs. with brown hair and blue eyes.

The suspect vehicle is a gold 1998 Olds 4 door Achieva with Texas license plate D71BHX.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office at 281-341-4665 or dial 911.

Living in the area of this tragedy, I was surprised that they waited so long to put out an amber alert.
I truly believe that these should be broadcast as soon as the police are notified.
If it turns out to be a run-away or other reason, then the family should have to cover some of the expence. I know if one of my children were missing, and I recovered them, for whatever reason, I would not mind paying for the time other people gave to bring my child back!
It does seem a shame the other reasons for a child to go missing has caused the authorities to have to delay issueing an alert that would have possably save a life!

Granted, every child is important but if we geared up all the resources every time one of those thousands were reported missing, the Amber Alerts would very quickly loose their effectiveness and we would treat those Alerts just as we do the mailman, the garbage man, the UPS man, and all the other "invisible" people who move about our lives every day. We tend to just ignore them and take for granted.

To think that seven or eight thousand Amber Alerts flashing everywhere each year would continue to be an effective tool, is just naive.

I totally agree with Bump. And about the Carlie case and that it wasn't reported quickly - this goes back to Carlie. She had a sleepover at a girlfriend's and left the next day without letting her parents know.

This is one of the reasons I'm so intensely honed in on teaching the children how they can help themselves if they are out and about and alone. Sorry for bringing this up again - but a more classic case is that of Elizabeth Smart who was asleep in her own bed. Yet she allowed herself to be pulled through the window and be kidnapped. Why? Why didn't she scream and hit and scratch? Why didn't her little sister run to mom and dad's room and tell them what happened? That's easy to answer.

More than likely, the reason would be because her parents, church groups and school didn't discuss ways to protect oneself. Please. We've got to stop this and start at home to teach our babies how to be safe.
