and because I love Michelle. But the funniest thing happened while she was on the floor readying herself to skate...... Kwan, who at least signed off in style, remained calm when a man took to the ice as she was about to start before being escorted off by security. The man sported a yellow skirt and skated rather well but Kwan was not really amused. "I was surprised," she said. "I thought it was one of the flower girls but then I looked again and it was an adult, a man. I had to refocus and just go out there and skate." The graceful American, who plans to carry on until the 2006 Winter Games in Turin to chase an elusive Olympic title, was delighted with her final performance. "I felt it was brilliant," she said. "I felt really good. I skated well and I don't care about anything else." Kwan, who skated after Arakawa, will probably go down in history as the last skater to have earned a 6.0 at world championships. The 6.0 marking scale, a symbol of the sport for nearly a century, is due to be buried in June and replaced with a less subjective points system.
