NEW YORK (Reuters) -- "Sun City" Texas just became Sweat City U.S.A.
 
El Paso, Texas, with average summer temperatures above 93 degrees Fahrenheit and relative humidity over 70 percent, is the sweatiest city in the United States, a study released on Tuesday found.
 
Research scientist Tim Long calculated heat indexes and relative humidity levels to come up with his top 100 sweatiest cities in America list.
 
By Long's calculations, in just four hours, El Paso's residents produce enough sweat to fill an Olympic swimming pool, with individuals shedding more than 36 fluid ounces of perspiration an hour.
 
"The driving force is heat, but humidity is a key factor," said Long. "It can feel like 118 in El Paso but it's only 94."

Maybe it is the whole country if you think like that, mainly all coastal areas of tropical/sub-tropical countries sweat a lot but man an olympic swiming pool FULL OF SWEAT that is a LOT!!!

well that statistic was a little too much information for me.  There are definitely alot of sweaty places in this world and in the summer I would say that London, Ontario is one of the sweatiest.

hmm... boy olympic size pools... hmmm... I wonder how many pools can we fill up here in Manila... specially during the summer... hehehehe...

Hey pau_p1 i know what you mean the weather report says during autumn it can be a steady 32 Degrees in Darwin for up to 3 weeks! Manilia would be in a tropical region near the equator so that must be quite hard to deal with!

The heat here was so disgusting that you'd rather not move, than risk sweating, which wouldn't stop until the evening.
 
Anyways, it's rainy season here. Now we have to deal with floods.
 
About the sweatiest city, how on earth did he compute that 'swimming pool' thing? Did he went around begging people to give him their sweat? :laff: And yeah it's hot there, but what if the population is small? There's not much sweat for a pool, isn't there? :laugh:

Back to dicussing heat...........in Henrydamnedetta, OK - I experienced 100F and 100@ humidity at....MIDNIGHT.   Shocked  It was simply gross.
 
Try having fun in Palm Springs in browling 122F.  There was next to zero humidity though.
 
"That is REALLY weird London in America Hmmm......"  This particular (mentioned) London is in Ontario, Canada.
 
Did you know that the famous London Bridge is now located in Lake Havaso City, Arizona?
