I don't know who watches Oprah.  I never do. I'm at work when her show airs and never had the desire to tape it.

However, I caught a promo that she would be taping her show from the hurricane disaster yesterday.  And she did.  Only it turned into a 2-day event due to all the trauma she incurred.  I'm really glad I took the time to tape it.  I'm still watching today's show.  And having to take frequent breaks because it has made me sob like a baby.

So far, Julia Roberts has reported from a shelter in Birmingham which broke my heart.  Then Matthew McConnehey (sp) reported from Waveland where my brother used to live and that sent me reeling too. Then Chris Rock who I am not a big fan of, reported and that sent me over the edge when he started crying.  Don't think I can watch the rest of it tonight. It was too much to absorb.

I remember Oprah from her early days and she always had a way of making me tear up.  And I will add that there is not a movie out there that made me cry as much as The Color Purple.  Maybe The Green Mile. But only those 2.

My daughter and I watch Oprah all the time......we often cry during her shows.  If her hurricane disaster show airs here soon I'm not sure if I'd be able to watch it......I'd be bawling like a baby!

LL......I looovvveee the Green Mile too, we have it on DVD and I watch it quite alot.  I remember the man who plays the "Old Paul Edgecomb" was the reverend in "Little House On the Praire"......that was 30 years ago and he still looks the same age!

I have to say that her 2 day show was one of the most emotional in all of the coverage that I watched this week.
