Reading Yahoo news this morning and ran across these two stories that I'd got bits and pieces of before.

How frightening...at least they survived ok and were reunited.  I'm impressed with how well the 6 year old held them all together. My oldest is 6 years old right now and my youngest is exactly 5 months...it's hard not to read this and imagine my own children in this situation and what they would do, how well my 6 year old would keep it together.

As someone who works in the field with people with mental retardation, and who has 2 such people living in her home, I cannot imagine what group homes for developmentally challenged people have done through out all of this
