Mercury transit -- November 8

Kitt peak Observatory will track planet Mercury's transit of the sun on the web. The Mercury transit begins on Wednesday, November 8 @ 2:12 pm ET, 1:12 pm CT, 12:12 pm MT and 11:12 am PT. The transit lasts 5 hours.

That's one heck of  long trip.  Where does the transit go?  From Tuscon to L.A.? Or perhaps L.A. to Tuscon?  
 
BTW Would you by any chance know what the fare is?

Very cool.. I wonder if they'll record the webcast for later viewing?  I teach Gifted K-4, and my fourth graders would love this.. unfortunately I have first/second on that day, and they're a bit to young to appreciate it.

Great site, Jim!  Thanks for sharing.  I'm going to mark my calendar too.
 
Besides that though, I love great shots of space and in particular nebulae.  Their image gallery has some great pics.  BTW, the site looks familiar and I probably saw it years ago, but did tag it.  Won't make THAT mistake again.  Adding it now!
