We all have NO IDEA what has transpired btw. this couple or their family during this difficult divorce. But everyone is quick to judge or jump on the bandwagon against Alec.

My parents have said much worse things to me while I was growing up and maturing. And, I gave them reason to. This is strictly btw. the family imo. Kim made sure the message became public. I hold her totally responsible for airing their private life.

I get the impression that the girl is using the cell phone to manipulate her father. I'd be pissed off too if I was him.

I was disciplined, but never screamed at nor spoken to like he has to his daughter. I'd humiliate him for it too if it was my kid he spoke to that way.

Yes, I've been talked to by a mean spirited man,
one in real life & the other on internet.

Why would thi schild want to talk to him or be with him in any situation.
Alec has a problem with anger management & needs to be counseled
again, obviously.

The voice mail was released legally, so they say.
I've not been a fan of his for a long time & will not
watch his TV show or movies.

He's lucky, Kim could have shot him, as some abusive husbands
have been of late! Abusive men don't get my sympathy. it's easy
for a big man to abuse a little girl or woman. Notice they don't pull
this crap with men their own size! Grow up Baldwin!
Guess he can now save his money on seeking child custody!

What if Kim is not the one who released the tape? There is no prooof of it (although I admit, it's a stretch). Or what if her reason for doing so was the only way she had left to prove how abusive and angry he is and that they are afraid of him.

There are many moving parts to this story. His family are not the only people who have complained about his temper, co-workers have as well.

Regardless, there IS NO excuse for the way he spoke to his daughter. I myself have major self esteem issues stemming from a father who spoke to me the same way, and worse. Angry or not, there is no need to demean your child.

The fact it was aired publicly not only humiliated him but also their child placing the girl in the middle of a public limelight. The ex-wife's behaviour was very inappropriate. One wrong ought not to lead to a second wrong.

Hearing himself publicly may jolt him to realize that at no time is it appropriate to yell and scream at your child especially on a voice mail to which you have no chance to reply. However I think when these things happen there are other discussions and apologies which often occur and moderate the initial event - we do not have all the details. Only those that one person (and the media) chose to make public.

We ought not to pass judgement.
