okay, this is weird. i have been working on a greeting card business idea for the last month. it all started when i starting taking pictures of my roomie's pug, hector. he is incredibly cute and incredibly naughty. two weekends ago, while attending a parade, hector got his picture taken 30 times and i thought "he's my model!" Wink

, got off my butt, went to buy paper, glue and such, printed off many pictures of him and voila! i had been chatting with a few business owners who love to sell local art work, etc and are interested in animal pics who are willing to sell them and as i am unable to do regular work due to the depression, this seemed perfect! work at home, according to my energy and mood!

well, enough of the prelude, here are some of the results ~

what do you people think? my most unfavorite part is coming up...the get out and sell yourself some more part. :worried:

and i really wanted to know if what you all thought of it seeing as you were all so helpful with the 'no name blanket company'

which i am looking forward to seeing in a baby store near me!

btw, i will be doing baby cards for a local store which needs shower and thank you cards....any ideas for the pug?

my friend, esther, is just about finished her CMA and is now my accountant! ironically, she just took a job in victoria (where she lives, that's bc not australia!) working with a firm which works exclusively for small businesses (like me!) doing their accounting and busniess plans! how is that for serendipity! :tup:

speaking of serendipity, my roomie and i were speaking to a small busniess owner who told us that the pug is now a tax write off! his food, vet bills, a portion of his lodging...which is good for both of us! as the pug is a naughty pug, this is a good thing! he loves garbage! and chocolates! which in large amounts like 20 :winking: could kill him! he has had his stomach pumped once or twice! sue thinks he loves the vet a bit too much!

soooo, do you like/dislike the idea? any other ideas? suggestions?

EEGirl - I am really rushing to get packed to leave but I wanted to mention I did a very quick TM search in Canada, not enough time right now for USA too, and I did not find any problems with your name. You need to do a NUANS search as well to make sure you are entitled to the name as a business name. Good Luck. Looks like a wonderful Pug.

well....things are still a struggle with my depression...

having said that, i have sold cards to tw businesses and a third major one is considering them. the third i should hear about this week, they are one of the major doggie businesses in vancouver. if i could get my cards in there :crossfingers:

i have been working on a web site and a friend of mine who has a web business is coming over later to help develop a plan. i only wish my depression was less right now....i am almost finished changing meds and have been exhausted! :tdown:

my cat told me last night that the name should be pug poo purr... :winking: i think she might be feeling a bit left out. perhaps i need help because i can hear my cat! :dizzy:
