MISTER Irishlass?? A GUY ?? And the CODE about a certain someone, A GUY , actually looking FORWARD to going to Frankenmuth!!

Now, Gentle readers, you might ask how it is that I know that something is fishy here. Well, it is ONLY because I was duped into allowing myself to be driven to this HOTBED of Commercialism, this Mecca of Capitalism, this "Christmas" shopping outlet to end all others, tucked innocently in the frigid (frigid to an ol' southern boy anyway) tundra of Michigan!! YES, I have BEEN to this sad, sad place. I have SEEN with my own eyes, husbands, fathers, and significant others, young and old alike, wandering around the seemingly endless miles of seasonal goods for sale. I have SEEN those men FORCED to shop for hours and hours, for candles, ornaments, nicknacks and other assorted stuff!! I have SEEN these men led like zombies to checkout stands, and STRIPPED of their credit cards, and currency!! FORCED to lug large and heavy bags bulging with Christmas and other seasonal decorations, around and around for hours at a time with that sad, blank stare on their faces!! Believe me, it isn't a pretty sight! I was luckier than most, I managed to escape BEFORE my eyes glazed over, BEFORE I was lulled into that zombie-like state and dragged from one isle to another!! Certain women were momentarily distracted by a large display of handcrafted ornamental reindeer, and I managed to slip away, to FLEE to the relatiave safety of the parking lot where I hid out until either my credit card limit peaked out or the women reached the legal limit for goods getting across the border!!

So, I KNOW that this is some coded message!! You can't fool ME!! NO Car-nut guy is gonna' let himself be led around Frankenmuth of his own free will!! Hell, it would have to be some sort of critical situation for this to happen. Why hell, you'd almost have to want some new toy or some great car part bargain yourself, . . . . . . . to let yourself be taken to Franken. . . . . . . . . . . .

uh, . . . . . . . :stunned:

Sorry to disappoint you Bumper, but there is no secret code here, nothing going on right under your nose.

You must be a psychic because there is a car connection to this. The reason Mr. Irish is so willing to be in Frankenmuth is that the National DeSoto Club convention is being held there. I'm not sure how this male dominated organization chose this location, but I'm betting that a wife or two had a hand in the choice.

When I mentioned this to Addams she said she had fond memories of Frankenmuth and had been wanting to make a return visit there. She mentioned maybe meeting us there and that's where we are at this point. Nothing is finalized, but we are hoping it works out. So, as you can see, nothing strange going on.

Actually Addams has not been Frankenmuth but Addams mother (and father) have been to Frankenmuth. LOL. Addams was thinking how much she would love to go but I sense that Mr. Addams had best not read this thread. LOL

I do know that Mr. Addams would love to see the old cars though.

When is the convention mr. and mrs. irishlass?
