Happy Thanksgiving

Before I get really busy cleaning and cooking (yes, the family feast is at the Irish house this year).  I want to wish all of the US members a Happy Thanksgiving.  May you all spend it with those you love.

Here's to all of my friends here at Forums.................

     May your stuffing be tasty,
     May your turkey be plump.
     May your potatoes 'n gravy
     Have nary a lump.

     May your yams be delicious,
May your pies take the prize,
     May your Thanksgiving dinner
     Stay off of your thighs!

Have a good one!   :grouphug:

:faint: Why is the aftermath always the same? hours to prepare a big meal..about 30 minutes to eat...maybe just a little longer..and then another hour to get it all pout away and kitchen cleaned up....makes me not want to cook! Cry

Don't forget about the days of cleaning, so that you present a perfect environment.  I hosted this year, with my parents and my inlaws.  Everyone actually got along great (except Lucy, my 2 year old, and Dakota, my 4 year old nephew).  I'm thinking it may have even been good enough to try it again next year.  At least we had 2 less places to try to go to in one day.

Ah yes, but remember all the lovely left-overs. Don't have to cook again for at least a couple of days. Wink We had our kids (the two girls and one of the two boys) and their families and had a grand time. My back is giving problems, but the girls and I managed, and the guys helped out too. A lovely day. My daughter (Tenderfoot, some of you may remember her) and her family are still here until tomorrow. They come all the way from Arkansas, so we don't get to see them very often.
It's been a  :grouphug: time.
