It's dull, it's boring, but it's important, and I have to do it.  I'm going to eat less :chef: :icecream: :cake:, and exercise more :golf: .  I'm 70 pounds over-weight; I'm in my 40's: I'm an insulin-depenent diabetic, and I feel lousy.  So, if I want to see my son graduate from college, get married and make grandkids for me to spoil, the time has come for me do do what's necessary, and lose some weight.

Yes Eric, I agree it's dull, and boring...but that's mine too.  This is the first time in my life that I have actually worried about losing weight.  For some reason(duh!) the pounds aren't falling off as easily after baby number 3 as they did after the other two.  The 3 mile walks everyday aren't cutting it.  I'm afraid I'm gonna have to do something desparate, like quit eating "good" food.  So, In the New Year, I promise myself that I will lose 2 sizes!

I could stand to lose a few pounds too, especially after I had the last baby.  I talked to my dr about it and she recommended one of the fat pills they have out there.  It's the one that blocks your body from absorbing too much fat in teh foods you eat.  It doesn't have all the other weird side effects and problems a lot of the other pills have cause it's not an appetite supressant, etc.   A friend of mine has been taking it and had great success with weight loss so far.  I can't remember what it's called but it's the "fat blocker" one and the only ral side effect it has is if you eat too fatty of a meal while you're on it you will have to trot for the toilet afterwards.  :surprised:

I have some of that ordered. The otherday I was watching an infomercial about a weight loss program.  Caryl and Marilyn(The Mommies) were selling this stuff.  They guarantee that you can lose a size a week.  I have no illusions that I will lose that quickly, I'm not too overweight.  I'm just bigger than I have ever been.  The website is www.mommystyle.com .  I'll let you know how it goes.

Were they selling the prescription stuff or a non prescription knock-off?   I'm gonna get the prescription one from my dr.  at least that way I can get a co-pay on it so it's cheaper and I know it's monitored.  A lot of that crap they sell on tv has ephedra in it which causes horrible horrible problems....fatalities, bi-polar disorder in some people, halucinations, etc. etc.  It'll cause you to lose weight alright, but you get to lose your mind with it.  Sad

I think that since I always fail to achieve my resolutions I will :
Gain 40 pounds.
Drink too much.
Smoke too much.
Not have reasonable expectations of myself.

And Spend less time on the internet.

I hereby resolve to keep my apt in top shipshape.  Last Friday evening I found an official flyer from the owners of my complex.  It stated that there would be an inspection of all suites on Mon between the hours of 10AM and Noon.

Since I moved here I've had to continuing babysitting my grandson (7 days a week) and by the time I returned home, I was too exhausted to continue unpacking.  I didn't have to babysit this Sat and Sun - thank heavens!  AND wooboy....did this notice ever motivate me.  Now, looking around - I'm pretty proud of myself.

It's almost time.....I'll be glad when this is over regardless......... :sweatdrop:
