I'm posting this in a few sub forums so everyone gets a chance to see it.

We have a great new chatroom open!

To get to it, you just click on the Chat icon in the top menu bar that looks like this

and it will start to load up the new chatroom.

Once it starts to load, the very first time it will ask you to download a very small program to run the chat. It's safe to download, click yes to that. Once you download, it takes a couple minutes to load all up.

Once it loads up you will enter as either your name on here or your name on here with an _FNet behind it. This is because the large host server has a lot of sub-rooms for various forums like ours and it has to keep all the names straight. So, it may add a tag on at the end of your name if someone else on their server in some other chatroom has already snagged that name.

Once you enter the chatroom the first thing you want to do is to click on the top left-most button. This will bring up your Chat options screen. From there you can enable your sounds and other preferences. Then click on the Your Profile button on that same screen and define a password. If you don't define a password it won't save your account with your settings for the next time you enter the room.

Once you register your account and click on all the OK buttons and go back to the chat window, you can change your font color and such with the lower left buttons. You can change your font size by right clicking on the chat window where all the text is and it will give you the option to Increase Font Size. You can click on that multiple times until it's at the size you want.

I think you all will really enjoy this chatroom. It's easy to use and it's got sounds and some features people have been asking for.

From experimentation, I have found that the very first time you enter into the chatroom it automatically gives you the _FNet. Then if you log back out of the chatroom and back in, it will give you your name without if it's never been registered.

So don't be a stranger! Come on by and check it out. You will notice that we now have SOUNDS!! That means that you can come in and if you don't see anyone talking, you can make a sound to draw someone back to the chatroom (after all, there ARE some of us that do that multi-tasking thingy!)

(Jeez, you mean you can do more on these machines other than Survivor stuff??, I didn't know that!!)
