Someone created a thread (on another site) about seeing a live show. They were really thrilled about it too. I was in a silly mood (nothing new) and posted my opinion that it was just that - a "show" and availed myself of a couple of silly emoticons.

Then a couple of hours later I went back and saw that poster was just a tad upset with. BTW - this particular poster is a love of mine too. :shame2:

I just went over there a minute ago and people are saying: "internet spat - uh oh! - here we go again." Oh come on now. So I made a public apology and a private one as well.

Damn! Now I don't know what to do........... :bigcry:

I think the most you can do is apologize and tell them you were being silly and didn't mean it maliciously at all. Most people are going to understand and be forgving. Some people in this world are extra touchy and/or can be grudge holders, so it's possible this person may not want to forgive you, but I think most people are reasonable and understand you aren't malicious at all.
