hey everyone!

i am on a friend's computer and so this will have to be brief.  i made it to vancouver in one piece and am settling in quite nicely.  i am still working on the finding work deal but outside of this, i am well.  i have been back to my church to volunteer and everyone has been very happy to see me.  i have also been reconnecting with other friends and the city.  the more that i am here, the more i feel like i should be here and am working to have that happen.  my fears regarding coming back seem to have vanished.  most people cannot believe how good i look, healthwise and otherwise, and this is also helping with my mood.

i hope to achieve at least dial up access by this evening and look forward to seeing more of all of you online.

note to addams ~ you were right about the lent bit.  i went to church today and coming abck right now seems to be quite appropriate.  i will be journalling my thoughts, etc. and will send you some before the week  is out.

Tongue Hi cutie!  This is great!  Sometimes the very thought of going back home is scary - but ends up like you're experiencing.  Good for you to get out and about.

You're always in our thoughts and prayers!  We can hardly wait 'til you check in again!   Tongue

Hey East - so glad you have arrived and fears subsided.

No need to send me a long journal.  I am happy to know you are doing well - but if you want to I would love to enter into a bit of a discourse with you about my lenten journey as well.

I am heading to cuba after just getting a solid 12 inche braid cut off my head.  My hair is quite short and I am now looking into how to donate it to Wigs for Kids or another charity that makes wigs for folks who have cancer or other treatments that causes them to lose their hair.

But I will start another thread about that - not going to hijack this one.  Take care and big hugs to you :grouphug:

have no fear addams!  what a great way to give to other people!

i am back on my friend's computer as he is helping me fix a driver glitch with my laptop.  i haven't heard anything regarding the positions i applied for and will have to bite the bullet and phone them tomorrow to find out what's happening there...just to know for sure one way or the other.  patience has never been a strong point... Wink  and i still have not seen the last survivor eppie!  craziness!

love to all of you,
