Wish me luck...
« on: Apr 30th, 2003, 2:42pm »

I am doing a bike tour of NYC this weekend.  The event is called Bike New York.  It is a 42 mile tour of the 5 boroughs.  My older brother did it last year and talked me into it for this year.  It should work out to about 3 hours in the seat.  I am up to about 1.5 hour daily ride (22.5 miles) so I should be able to do it, but I'll take any luck I can get as well.

Thank you all.

I will have alot of technology with me.  If there are "Hot Spots" in the rest areas, I will post my progress from my handheld computer.  I will also have a GPS with moving map, trip computer, digital camera & of course, a digital cell phone.  Yes, I still love gadgets.

Now to make this a record-length post... Cry

I will take pictures Rhune.  This year you can not take them from bridges though.  If I get any good ones, I will try to post them here.

You'll really hear me holler if I hit a bump and my seat falls off.  But if you decide you want to pass on the links that day, I'll tow you as far as I can.

Thanks pocket.  Oops, I mean thanks MomNMaui, doh! Wrong again!  MzW just poking fun, I appreciate the sentiments.  My mother used to get my name wrong all the time.  Every wrong guess on her part would only get her madder at ME.  She still does it.

Reset, I am so proud that you are actually doing this.  For you, I hope there are lots of downhills....as long as you don't have to backtrack on  the way home.  Wink
