Well, for Quinn's we videoed and I shot pix.  There was a serious "business" situation going on so nothing came off like I wanted.  
 
He had a nap from 10:30AM to 1PM so he would be awake and alertr for the festivities later.  It didn't work out like "I" wanted but I got a few fix.  He had a ball with a couple of his presents and eatings his personal/private piece of cake.  I hope to take the film in tomorrow for processing.  I had hoped to post the pix tonight but didn't happen.

well, well...
 
it was a different day but good nonetheless.  for the most part, the day was nromal as i volunteered at the church mission.  however, a friend took me out for dinner which was delightful as it was at my favourite vegetarian restaurant in vancouver, the naam.  sesame fries and miso gravy...yummy...you can even buy the gravy at select natural food stores.  afterwards, we went to see a public lecture at my now former grad school on faith and politics given by preston manning.  he is there this week giving a course on the same subject.  i went knowing that preston and i do not share the same christian viewpoint.  i also realized that my former school and i do not as well.  sitting in the lecture hall where i had taken numerous classes to discover that i no longer fit in was intriguing and affirming of my decision to change schools.  
 
as far as further celebrations, a friend is coming in from the burbs to stay the night tomorrow and i have a few more coffee dates... Wink
 
i am glad to hear that quiin had such a good day!   Kiss

sounds like the birthdays went pretty well and also sounds like you are both extending your celebrations a day or two.  Enjoy opening the rest of your presents little Quinn.
 
K-A did you get any presents?  I was quite jelly by the way of you getting to hear Presto talk.

yes, i got prezzies...mostly of the green type (as well as a few meals spread over the last week and into this next week)...but my favourite by far at the moment was a card from my cat (who is living with my cousin and her partner) with many pictures of all the things she has been doing...her waiting for them to feed her, sleeping on the couch, sleeping in the sun in front of the balcony window, playing with string, a great psychotic kitty pic...they were great and they made me cry.  i really miss her but am so glad that they are enjoying her company and the arthritis has gone away with winter.  now to help them remove all her hair which she has happily spread all over their apartment!
