Finally figured out how to install that ...(insert bad bad word here) DSl thingy. Oh do I miss cable, but oh well... I guess I'll get use to DSL.

I missed being here ! I'll read the boards, I need to catch up !

Dsl is fine once you get the hang of it. I have cable at home and dsl at work and I love them both..have dial up at mom's and HATE IT Lips Sealed

Now, I had dsl in my old place and now that I moved and had to take cable (no dsl in this neighborhood), I found that the dsl was really faster and I miss it.

really? I don't see a lot of difference...they are both good. Cept right now, mine got bought out by comcast and all my email is being forwarded so it seems to be slowing down my email. If anyone has my email address..substitute the attbi.com to comcast.net by the way...it will be forwarded till Dec 2004 so I'm in no hurry to get the word out though..LOL

cable is a bit faster than dsl here. But i think the phone company is working on it so it should be all the same soon.

What I found difficult was the setting-installing ..yikes..first time ever I was doing it myself, no tech person. So this time if something goes wrong its my fault ! Sad

Yes I love the new place. Its smaller than what we used to have (before we separated) but I guess we will have to learn to LIVE togheter for real this time. We have a nice small backyard where we put a mini pool (4 ft) for daughter and her lil neighbor friend. Theres maybe 5 cars a day on the street so its very calm. We can sleep with the windows open and we dont hear a thing. Thats a positive change from the previous neighborhoods.

We used a lot of colors on the walls, no wallpaper cuz they are a pain to remove. My Monet (a copy !) is back on the bedroom wall. This painting has been sleeping in my parent's basement for the past 6 months. Shame shame shame. Its a gift I had years ago from a cousin a love dearly and I dont get to see him a lot, as he lives in BC and I am in Quebec.

This morning was Mimi's first day at daycare. She was thrilled. She was pushing me to the door "Hurry mommy hurry up I want to go NOW". lol I am curious to see what tomorow morning will be. She knows that daycare, thats the same one she was in last year, before her father and I separated.

As for hub and I....I think we are doing okay. I'll try to make a long long story short for those of you who never got Part 1:
After 5 years of marriage, last october my hub told me he had met a woman over the internet and wanted me to leave. I left, with Mimi and we moved at 1 hour 1/2 by car from there. Everything went really fast. We went to mediation session (wanted to avoid lawyers and court), I sold him my 1/2 of the house, changed car papers and credits cards. The day after I was gone the new g/f was moving in with him. They were togheter for 6 weeks and then hub kicked her out of the house. LOL Then he called me, begging me to move back in with him. GIANT LOL. That was back in December, between Xmas and new years Eve.

I had organized my new "single mom" life. And I was enjoying it most of the times. I told him that since he had messed up Plan A (wich was Get married, have kid and live happily ever after, duh me) that I wouldnt let him messed up my Plan B, wich is work on myself, take some "get to know you" classes, go back to school, find a real job that I would enjoy and be able to go through everyday life by myself. I even took some "Mechanics for dummies" class because I didnt even know how to replace a flat tire and I certainly dont want to have to ask him or any stranger on the road to do it for me.
We went to a therapist a couple of times,5 times actually, but since we werent living togheter at that time, the therapist suggested that we wait till fall to see her again, so that we have time to see what life togheter is and what kind of problems we are having NOW, not THEN. The 5 sessions we had with her helped a lot though.

I am now considering myself ON VACATIONS till school starts in august. I dont want to have to think, plan, count, schedule, re-think and re-do. My brain have had enough of all that for the past 6 months. Even my body is telling me to take a break.

So this is where we are now, I dont know how it will be in the future, I am trying to take it one day after another.

Oh, Azure, yes, I already have my own special day Wink

June: St-Jean-Baptiste (our french canadian Holliday)
July: Canada day

September:Labor day
October: Halloween
November: Remembrance day
December: Xmas

Noticed that August has no Holliday or special celebration marked on calendars? Well Az update your calendar cuz on August 9, I will turn 30 Cry

. Okay that big 3 is scary, but apparently I cant avoid it.
