Okay..my turn to be Giddy now..LOL I just called to make reservations for mom and I to go to Florida and the first person I got was okay but did not go over and beyond the call of duty. In the end, I must have left the credit card I generally use at home and tried to use another card that is not one that I generally use and since it has not been activated, I couldn't use it. Soooo I had to hang up and remembered that I had bought flowers for someone not long ago and written down my credit card number and left it locked in my desk. Sure enough it was still there and I called back and got the lady that I had talked to yesterday when I first called for information. She was soo nice compared to the other one and I just NOW discovered that for no extra fee, we can bring mom's wheelchair on board and have it flown with us. I was trying to figure out what to do about getting her a wheelchair in Florida and now I don't have to. OHHH and this lady ended up being the supervisor. I told her she was was awesome at her job!!

Sooo everything is coming together and now I can't wait...I have a ton to do between now and then though..and the tickets are non-refundable so nothing but positive thoughts for the next couple of weeks...

Okay..I gotta settle down and get back to work now...no lunch for me today but I'm too excited to eat anyway... LOL.

Wow..are you getting this monsoon rain that I am today? It is incredible..Anyway..we will be flying into to Sanford and then make the almost 2 hour car ride to Lake Wales. I opted to go Pan Am cause they will go non-stop which will be easier on both of us and also that airport has no fees for parking the car there the week. I have no idea where Tampa is in comparison but I don't think it is far. I am hoping Mom is up to go to Disney, Sea World and Universal Studios. Maybe one of those days we could meet up if you are going to any of them?

Thanks everyone..it was a shock to me too.....it has been a long July but hey better grab this vacation while she can and she really wants to go.

Wings..I will have to make the journey to Vermont Friday nite Aug 15th to pick her up so we will be leaving by 5am Saturday morning to go to the Airport which is unfortuantely 4 hours from Mom's house. We fly out late morning from there on the 16th and will fly back late afternoon on the 23rd. My aunt has no idea how close this almost didn't happen and I won't tell her till we are down there. I am bringing the camcorder and hoping I can get the two of them to talk about the good old days so I can record it...I really want this trip so I can have that for my memories and my Aunt has promised to do it for me. I'm trying also to locate just a tape recorder so that mom won't feel like she shouldn't talk with the video going...which reminds me..I need more camcorder tapes.. Grin

buy lots of tapes, batteries and take a notepad for when you just need to write stuff down when she's tired of being 'on camera'.

I will be away those same dates in a less exotic place.
