hi!

hope I am not breaking any rules by posting this, but I think you should all know of some viruses which have been striking through windows XP, as well as windows me and 2000 (I think those last two) What you need to do is go to the link I am posting and click on scan for updates, my computer needed to do 42 updates and my boys needed 27 updates. The site gives information on what it all is. I know of 2 people who were affected by this, their computer kept booting them off every miunute or so, when they called tech support, tech support had gotten the virus as well Shocked

just figured I would pass the word along

Very important Azure. You have a good idea to pass the information.

This virus is more of a worm, because its not transmitted via email attachement. You will get it just by surfing the net, if you use one of the OS Azure mentioned.

Update your firewall and if you dont have one, get one.
Update your Windows....and sad news...for those on a "cracked copy" of Windows...update for this and many other things wont load. Good luck.

yes this is a worm. And I was just advised by a friend about this. There have been some other important patches recently for Windows that you need to update. I will check our sonicwall updates. There is a worm scheduled to start on August 16th also.

You can get trial copies of programs from the net and then using a special program, you can come up with a "crack" code for them so that they operate like the full version and you no longer even realize that it is not the real version. Going out to "crack" sites you can get a crack code for almost any major software that is out there...

It's awful... it happened to my computer, and now I'm stuck using my roomate's! You get online and ten minutes later an error message pops up and you are completely kicked off your system. Mine got so bad that I couldn't even download the updates because it would kick me off my system so quickly... I had to take it into the shop. I HIGHLY ADVISE DOING THE UPDATES ASAP!

Sorry - but I have to be the most pooter illiterate person here. I'm scared to click on that dillie azure, simply because I don't usually understand pooter language and what's it's trying to telll me to do. Hell, I still don't even know what a "firewall" is.
