Gee thanks, everyone.  We went shopping for a chair today.  Yep, it was to be a birthday gift, but I couldn't find the right chair in the right color, dang it.  However, at my age "things" aren't all that important, but your good wishes mean a lot.  Thanks!
 
BTW, we're going to go shopping again in a few days....I'll find that elusive chair yet!

Pocket, the chair (or as it is referred to in the Bumper household, "the helm") is a very, very important purchase.  Great care should be taken during the selection process!!  Size, color, material and most importantly COMFORT.  Might I recommend the oversized leather recliner by LANE in a nice navy blue.  Grin  There is more than adaquate room for the remote control on the arm while at the same time, not interferring with the all important rested position of the occupant's arm.
 
Oh, and by the way, sorry I didn't get here in time for the initial birthday wishes, but I hope you had a great day!! Cool
