This morning on The View, Ron Clark was introduced and his new book was discussed.
 
Immediately, I thought of Wednesday and what happened to her yesterday.

His book is called civility in school - 55 rules.  I think his "rules" could most certainly be used in the home too - since this is where our children learn about disrespect and respect in the first place.
 
I tried to find a transcript for today's show but no such luck.  *stomps foot*

As the new millennium takes hold, with all the excitement and opportunities it brings, society is changing.  Civility is fading away.  We can hardly pick up a newspaper without reading about one form of rage or another, from road rage to air rage.  People are concerned manners are taking a nose dive, and as a result, etiquette and protocol training has become an escalating trend.
