Theres something you dont know.... I come here during classes...shhhhhhh.... I dont log on...I just lurk as a guess, so I am not too far behind in all of the posts.

I do miss you a lot, I wonder if they are ever going to let me chat from school...heehee

I had a thought for you this week ! Yep !

People in class were asking me where I had learn english, especially written, so well. I told em, as you told me once, that all this time spent on message board and in chat rooms was finally paying up ! Most of them can speak very good english, but cant write. Well I write ! but dont like to speak...will have to start seriously practicing oral english soon.

I was glad to read that Wednesday was doing well ! Give her a big :hug:

When I first started to chat, I sat in CBS chat room for almost a week, just starring at the screen, without saying a word. Then I started to talk a bit, but was making a lot of mistakes and was missing a lot of vocabulary, thus couldnt follow conversations. But with a lot of patience and help from fellow chatters I have learned a lot. All my friends that I talk to on a regular basis knows that I dont mind if they correct my spelling/grammar, in fact I appreciate it.

Now.. I have to work on that french accent Roll Eyes

I am also from Quebec but I guess living in Montreal makes it a lot easier to learn and speak English as opposed to Quebec City. Still, sometimes I can't catch some informal expressions used on TV. So when others are laughing, I can only stare and pretend to laugh. But if you want to send me a coded message, you know what language to write... Wink

Yes living in Montreal makes it easier for you. The city is so multi cultural and many languages are spoken there. In Quebec city its different. You are required to speak english if you work in the tourist industry, other than that, you can spend all your life speaking french only and you arent bothered by that at all.
