Parents, Children & Grandchildren!

For all of you to give an opinion on-----
If you are angry with your parent or parents, would you withhold your children from visiting them or vice versa?
 
I would just like to know what the forum would do in this case.  Keep in mind the children and grandparents have done nothing to each other.
 
Ok, time for an opinion on this issue.  NEVER, but NEVER did I keep my babies/children from my parents!

NO
 
The only exception I can think of - is if said grandparents were molesting the children.

if as you said, the grandparents and children did nothing to each other and wanted to see each other, than certainly their relationships with each other should not be influenced.

Well, this cruel person is my son.  We have never had one moment's trouble until last year.  My Mother started it by going to my kids against me.  Then it snowballed!  Talk about hurt, sometimes I feel like I can't breathe.  My Mother can't even remember what she did yesterday and they went against me with her.  Now she doesn't even know what she did, or just won't admit this part.
My son's baby girl was born last Christmas Day, talk about a little child shall lead!  For we did not get together last Christmas.  Here I am an only child and this crap is happening to me.  
Anyway, we had just finished dinner, the two of us!  Then the phone rang and it was my son telling me the baby would come in about an hour.  She was three weeks early!  So here we go and we all end up at the hospital at the same time.  
I didn't even have my Mother that day for I had had it and my feelings were, if they were going to do this to me, then they need to know taking care of her is not so easy!
 
But, after they get home I did see the children a few times, but haven't since she was 2 months old and the little boy 2 yrs and 2 mo.
Now the baby is 10 months old and the little boy is 2 yrs 11 months old.  I made my Mother and husband go with me to their house this afternoon,  for I am a determined Grandmother.  I did see the baby, and of course she did not know me and clung to her Dad.  It was not a comfortable visit, but I did get what I wanted, to see my Grand Daughter!  The little boy was at a party and we did not see him.  These two children look more like me than any of the three of my daughters.  Talk about a hole in my heart!
I intend to see them again and think I will call the day care they go to and volunteer about one time a week during their lunch time.  Then I can be home before dark.  My husband grinned when I mentioned this and told me to go for it!
 
We sure aren't child molesters or abusers, just a loving Grand Mother that wants to see and love  Tongue  her Grandchildren!   Cry
 
In a few years my Mother will be gone, but knowing she created this pain will be in my heart forever.  As my husband says, "No matter what happens good for you and your family, you will never forget this hurt."

All I can say luci, at this point......is that life is so short.  It's a shame so much effort is made by people to keep family away from family.   In the end though, this usually doesn't work - family wants to know family.
 
Just be assured that you're good people.  In the end, who loses are the children, the grandchildren.  In the end, the parents have a blight on themselves - which they deserve for trying to keep family apart.

this is awful.  i cannot even imagine the pain you must feel not being able to see those two children.  i, too, hope that there will be a restoration of relationship for all concerned.   Smiley

Well, the fight is on, for I intend to see my Grandchildren!  He can come over here and we can talk about his attitude or we can go to a counselor, I'm ready!
That baby is so sweet, little face, blond hair, just very huggy looking!  And I am going to call the day care and ask if they need a good volunteer.
