This may be the wrong place to post this - but what the producers did tonight with Eight Simple Ways and the departure of John Ritter, was nothing less than incredible.

More than that, I can't post right now! Cry

Shrug, nothing wrong with people keeping their jobs in these hard times. Even John's son said recently that he was very proud of them for continuing and that it's exactly what his dad would want.

personally I felt that it was tastefully done and if nothing else gave that cast a way to say goodbye to a man that had become part of their family

I saw the show last night and I have to admit there was a tear in my eye. :wail: I'm glad though that the entire show wasn't all crying and hugging. I bet John wouldn't want that sad of a show. Did anyone else notice that although there were jokes during the show, there were no laughs in the background?

We started watching it and was going back and forth with NCSI, or whatever it is called.  That Navy show with Mark Harmon.

I just could not watch Eight simple Ways for it was just too too sad for me!  However, what I did see is so true to life.  No use in the network going on and acting like he never existed.

We miss him  Cry

I, too, watched Eight Simple Rules with a tear in my eye.  The show was tastefully done and very true to life.  I think, in our society, death is not talked about.  Our young people are shielded from it as much as possible.  This show may help a few children and teens face the death of a loved one.  It will let them see that what they are feeling is normal and that it is okay to talk about death.

Cool Job well done by the people at Eight Simple Rules.  I'm sure John Ritter would be proud.
