When I went into  a fabric store last year, I had a devil of a time getting the correct yardage - since they do "meterage"  Wink here.
 
Also, at the gas stations, they ask me how many litres I want.  I just say "fill'er up".  
 
I go to the deli for (the world's best all-beef bologna :tup: ) and they ask me how many grams, ma'am?  
 
 Undecided  I wonder if WallyWorld has a little doodad for conversions?  I sure as heck can't carry around my pooter to check these numbers.  :laff:

oh wingsy!  when fellow students who came from the states first arrive, they tell them that at first the differences will not seem huge.  then to be standing in the deli section like you did and kaboom!  it hits them!  they are in a foreign country ~ pass the tissues!  these little things are supposed to be the very things that hit people the hardest that they are somewhere else.   :grouphug2:
