Holiday Plans?

What is everyone's plans for the holidays?  Do you have any special traditions?

My mother is coming out to spend it with us like she has each year.  She spends about a week here and we use up most of the time catching up on films.  It's the only chance my husband and I have to get to the theatre alone  Grin and my mom loves to go see things like Lord of the Rings.  So, we have a fun time.  It helps that my mom and my husband get along really well.

My plan for the Hollidays this years is... to reconciliate with the Hollidays.  I have decided that I have spent enough years with some kind of aversion for that period of the year that its about time it ends.  Why be mad and sad when I can be happy.

I dont really have an action plan though. I'll just take it one step at a time. Maybe I'll decorate the tree before Dec 20th...I'll try to get into the spirit.

Any ideas?

Include your daughter in the tree decorating.  When I was a little girl, each year me and my mom would go out and pick out one new bulb (didn't have to match the rest) that we liked and put it on the tree.  When I became an adult and moved out, my mother gave me a box with all those bulbs in it. Smiley  They are really special...
