Time seems to be sadly lacking around here lately. I wake up Monday, and before I know it, it's Thursday evening already. Survivor seems to fly by faster than the commercials. I'm not a lawyer, but my clocks seem to be going way way too fast. Wink

The house is getting closer to completion every day. The chicken houses should be finished around christmas. We have built a picket fence to keep the "devil" dogs out of my yard, and flowerbeds. The christmas decorations are all up...at least the outside ones are...my tree is still in storage. Two nights ago I couldn't get my rebar christmas trees to come on, the next morning I caught a puppy chewing on an extension cord, upon closer inspection I found it to be in about 5 pieces. I just wish it had been plugged in when the little bugger bit into it.
My family is getting over the flu/bronchitis. I am the only one who didn't catch it. I guess God knew I didn't have the time to get sick. Thank you God.
Speaking of being thankful, we had our first quiet little family Thanksgiving dinner. 3 out of 5 of us were still running fever yesterday, so we didn't dare expose the rest of the family. I stayed up until 1 a.m. Thursday morning baking bread, and cakes; so that my family could still have a feast. I truly think they enjoyed it better than going to grandma's. We had everyone's favorite things to eat, and none of the gross stuff that we don't like. --macaroni and cheese w/fritos on top Lips Sealed

--green marshmallow/jello stuff w/pecans Shocked

--giblet gravy with....I swear to God...chicken necks! :barf:

We didn't miss that stuff. Instead, we had yummy things like a Mississippi Mud cake. Grin

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving too. I hope everyone's started Christmas shopping. I hope you are all doing well. And I hope you all have more spare time than I do. Wink

Now, I think there's a thread around here somewhere with my name on it that I need to catch up on......hehehe

Wings and Luci, yes we sold our chicken farm, but have bought this house with 109 acres. We are now in the process of building six new chicken houses. Luci, I think you do need to come visit me. The house still isn't quite finished, but I've put it on hold for christmas. It's close enough to completion that I won't be too embarrassed for you to see it. That invitation extends to one and all (just don't plan to stay more than one night, my last online visit didn't go so well).
Eeg, I glad to hear your weight loss is still progressing. I too have quite going to workout, but still try to get in a walk every now and then. Please tell our weightloss friends that I hope they are all succeeding.

I know Mr L would enjoy the visit and I certainly understand that with 109 acres, you had to do something with it! So why not make mo' money! Grin

Sure hope you don't get sick and if you do, we'll plan on a drive your way after Christmas. We'll plan on a drive your way after Christmas period! Our weekends are full for we do live in a party/celebration neighborhood! Looks like December is going to pass fast!
