Ohhhhh you guys!  How cool and I love that site you showed K-A.  To tell you the truth, until I receive back my passport (ewwww - I feel nekkid without it) and whatever else, like the Permanent Resident Card, I won't feel like what's done - is truly done.   That's probably because of too many negative events of the past couple years.  I've lost (not unlike many of us) trust in what's "supposed" or "expected" to happen.

Not having a passport - just my :twocents: - could put one in one helluva precarious position.  I don't have Manitoban plates on my car yet -  Roll Eyes sound familiar addams -  and couldn't do so until I became landed.  I've gotta be extra extra careful while driving - or maybe I should say - watch our for these crazy nutty drivers in MB.

All that being said - does this make me Bi-American....or an North American American?  A Canarican? An OkieAmeridian?

Well, I am a Manitoban

...and an

Born in Kansas

But in the end, after all is said and done, I AM an American.

Thanks for the pretty patch - here's music to go with it:

Also, I feel I want to, and must pay homage to my Homeland.

Star Spangled Banner

American National Anthem

Francis Scott Key

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars,
through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched,
were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets red glare,
the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night,
That our flag was still there,

Oh say, does that Star Spangled Banner yet wave,
O'er the land of the free
and the home of the brave.

On the shore dimly seen throughout the mists of the deep
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes
What is that which the breeze o'er the towering steep
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream.
`Tis the Star-Spangled Banner, Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so hauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and country, shall leave us no more?
Their blood was washed out their foul foot steps pollution
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave.
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh thus be it e'er when free men shall stand
Between their loved homes and war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that has made and preserved us a nation
And conquer we must when our cause is just
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the Star-Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

The good fortune to run into the ones that I do
