For those that don't know eeg has been just about bedridden with migraines for the last few days and finally got a doctor's appointment today. I had a friend several years back who had them so badly she had to be rushed to hospital ER. They would give her some kind of meds via an injection at the base of her skull. She told me the pain from the migraine kept her from feeling the injection. Like I said this was maybe 15 years ago and I have no idea what's done now days.

thanks for your thoughts and prayers peoples. last night around 2:00am, i thought my head was going to explode. it honestly felt like a jack hammer in my head inbetween two cortexs (or the like). i had already taken not one but two imitrex pills (i know i wasn't supposed to but...) and they did not even touch it. i was contemplating the emergency when my roomie came home and i had him do healing touch on the back of my head. it made me sleepy and the pain starts to dimish (don't ask me how this works but it did!). i eventually went to sleep and woke up to minor pain. i knew that i had to see the doctor as i have exams on wednesday. (how on earth can i study like this?)

anyway, the doctor gave me anti-inflammatories to get me threw the next few days, more zomig (bye bye imitrex, you work no more!) and as a last resort, pills to at least get me to sleep despite the pain. i had to see another doctor in my doctor's office as mine does not work today and will see mine on tuesday before i go.

this is all just crazy. i need a break. Wink

i am wzwings. the anti-inflammatory seems to be working. i slept well last night as well. for the first time in a long time, i woke up eager to start the day. so far, i have cleaned the livingroom, done a load of laundry, washed some dishes and opened my text books ready to study any minute now Wink

hopefully. i am also not at anxious about getting things done. it shocks me how much even the threat of migraine has kept me back.

now where are those books?
