New Years Resolutions

I've not seen anything about this so started a new thread.

What do you strive to do in 2004?   Besides turning the clock back 10 or 20 years. lol

Personally I want my waistline back.  And I can do that.

I have never made any kind of new years resolution that I can recall. But I decided to do so this year. I want to be more like my Mom. And I told her so. I wish to be more thoughtful, giving and tolerable. I have never known a more kind and generous human being. Never judging and always accepting and never vengeful. I intend to look for ways to reach out and touch others more. Don't mean to sound sappy, but then again, you don't know my Mom. On another sappy note (what IS IT about the holidays), I'm back to my Bible study. Last I checked, I was about to start Romans.

Wish you all a happy and successful new year in all of your resolutions. lake

thanks for starting this lakelady.  i am in the same place as you as you can tell by the diet and exercise thread.   Wink  but thinking about it, i have other resolutions too.

on new years eve, i went to a labyrinth with a few friends at a church in the west end of vancouver.  as i walked it, i struggled with things that i would like to be different in my life as well as being reminded of how much better certain things are from just one year ago (i have my health, i am back in  graduate school and have a part-time job as well.).

so here are a few of my resolutions ~

to believe in myself, to live a more balanced lifestyle (including working less and exercising more which i have already started to do), walk my dog more often, spend more time with close friends, to show my love and appreciation to family members more often, to jounral more...

this is it for now.

i may come back to this later as i think on it.

thanks again lakelady,

k-a

(wow, this is my 3000th post!)

I resolve to:

. . . . .not to be totally consumed with my golf game, and drop back to playing only on days that end in Y.

. . . . . not drink any cheap bourbon.

. . . . . not to say another damn cussword. . . . opps!

and one that I have at least a CHANCE on keeping. . . .

. . . . . be a better christian, husband, father and friend!

To be the best friend, mom, grandmother, listener, helper, be a  better Christian, be healthier and stay that way.  Be able to go that extra mile when needed without being asked.
