I Googled it but came up with restaurants in Chicago and Orlando, and some place in Arizona.

Does any of this make sense?

well it has sort of a secret meaning but likely only has a particular meaning to a couple or three members.  Waiting to see if I get any takers on this.

P.F. Changs is a Chinese chain restaurant in our area and I do believe they have one around the North Park Shopping Mall.  This is Dallas, Texas.

Now this surely could not have one thing to do
with what you're asking, or does it? Grin

If I'm right, is there a prize? Shocked

There might be a prize but right now it's only a big maybe.

It has something to do with this:

those dates are the conference dates.  Sadly I won't be availabe those days.  But the weekend afterwards I should be available for about 24 hours.

BUT it's a BIG MAYBE.  However when I heard about the conference I began to think how much I would like to go.  My husband is going for sure.  However I will have to bring Wednesday.  I don't think I could leave her for those days with a sitter.  It's too long.  This means I have to arrange child care for her when I am at the conference.

It's a big conference for lawyers and patent types.

So maybe if I talk about it enough it might happen.  It's a busy time but I really would like to meet everyone very much and this is a chance to do that.  Also I keep hearing about Chang's lettuce wraps.  I didn't know it was a chain.

Someone told me it's not that far from the Hotel, the North Park one.

No, it isn't far form North Park, but the one on the Dallas Tolllway is easier to get to, miles wize and a straight shot down the Parkway!

Some of our high school friends are wanting to go on a cruise together, and we'll go after Mother's Day if it happens at all.  I would like to meet you and if we are here, we will come see you if only for a little while at the hotel.

You must go to PF Changs Addams, the lettuce wraps are to die  for!! We have one here in Scottsdale and it is one of my favorite places. The also have a "fast" food version of the restaurant called Pei Wei. I recommend them both to all. Grin

PFChangs serve such hugh portions.  We took my friend there when we visited last May.  We each ordered something different and shared all of them, for they serve everythng family style.

Lettuce Wraps!    Yummy, for sure!

p.s. I forgot something, our neighbor who lives a few houses away is a patent attorney also. Maybe you'll meet him.
And yes, if we are planning a trip of any kind, we will make arrangements to get with you when you are in town!

After this I started to get curious about these Lettuce Wraps and this is what I found on the net:

P.F. Chang's Lettuce Wrap Day Raises $81,287 for America's Second Harvest.
Business Wire, Dec 20, 2002

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 20, 2002

P.F. Chang's China Bistro Inc. held its Second Annual Lettuce Wrap Day on Monday, Nov. 18, 2002. America's Second Harvest was selected to receive all the proceeds from the national sales of Chang's Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps and the Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps sold on that day.

"We selected America's Second Harvest to be the beneficiary of Lettuce Wrap Day because they are an exemplary organization with a proven track record of delivering food and resources to those most in need," said Bert Vivian, P.F. Chang's president. "Because of the enthusiastic support Lettuce Wrap Day received, not only from our employees but also our guests, we were able to surpass our original goal of $75,000."

America's Second Harvest is the largest domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States and distributes 1.4 billion pounds of donated food and grocery products annually. Through their national network, America's Second Harvest also works to educate the public about the nature of, and the solutions to the problem of hunger in America.

For every $1 donation that America's Second Harvest receives they can secure and distribute 28 pounds of food and groceries. That translates into $1 providing approximately 21 meals.

The $81,287.15 Lettuce Wrap Day raised will help provide 1,707,030 meals for American's in need.

P.F. Chang's Third Annual Lettuce Wrap Day Nov. 24 To Benefit the Charities Supported By the Golf Across the USA Foundation
Friday November 21, 6:24 pm ET

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 21, 2003--On Monday, Nov. 24, 2003, P.F. Chang's China Bistro (NASDAQTongueFCB - News) will hold its third Annual Lettuce Wrap Day. All proceeds from the national sales of its signature dish, Chang's Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps, and the Vegetarian Lettuce Wraps will be donated to support the Golf Across the USA Foundation and firefighter Dave Graybill's efforts to raise money for charity.
Dave Graybill, a Glendale, Ariz., firefighter, came up with an idea to raise money for charity by golfing across the United States -- thus Golf Across the USA was born. Graybill began his cross-country odyssey in April, teeing off the Santa Monica Pier in California and six months and more than 4,500 miles later, putting into the 18th hole in New York City's Central Park. Graybill literally golfed across the USA, not on golf courses, but down the highways, over rivers and through the woods, putting into 18 cities that marked the 18 holes.

Charities that will benefit from Lettuce Wrap Day include the International Association of Fire Fighters Burn Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Cystic Fibrosis and the Children's Miracle Network.
