Grin, my little one is doing all right.  He's got his 8 or 9th cold so far this season, but in general he's doing well.  He had a biopsy in December and the results came back negative, which was wonderful, and what we wanted to hear.  He still has an immunity disorder and gets sick easily, but thankfully he doesn't have the celiac.  Thank you for asking. Smiley

No, he takes a daily vitamin and then prescriptions of Zyrtec and Nasonex to help.  All this seems to do is to keep him from having ear infection after ear infection, but doesn't really stop him from getting sick.  I'm glad though, because over time he could suffer hearing loss if his ears keep having problems. So, it's an improvement, albeit a minor one.

I knew the test came back negative, and am thankful.  I was hoping for an update which you gave me.  No fun with constant ear aches, had them when I was youngerr all the time, ended up with a broken ear drum (times are waaaaaay different now though)  
 
glad he is doing  better.

Thanks for asking.  Mama....uh....MommyDearest's health is as fine as it's going to get at 88.
 
She's been causing quite a ruckus though.  It's taken my daughter and I hours and hours of trying to undo the messes.  She's accusing people of "stealing" and saying general disrespectful things about the staff and the retirement home.  It's very embarassing to us even though these people know Mama and know how she is.

thanks for asking azure.  it has been so strange lately with this new "weening myself off insulin routine".
 
frosty is now on less than 14 units of insulin a day.  this is gone from 45 units (15 units three times a day) when he first moved in with me in september.  i could not handle three shots a day with my schedule and quickly changed it to 40 units (20 units twice a day).  after several hypoglycemic attacks, i lowered it to 36 units (18 units twice a day) in october.  in early november, he started his lip smacking thingme.  i had no idea what it meant until january when reading online in the middle of the night when he was keeping me up doing it!  it meant more hypoglycemia and down his insulin amounts went again and they are continuing to go down!
 
frosty, after being hypoglycemic in the middle of the night, had three units this mornig and seven last night!  that's 10 units compared to the 45 units the vet wanted him to have as of september 1st!  
 
after speaking with a doctor, a pharmacist and a nurse, i have assertained that frosty is a type 2 diabetic.  which means that for some reason his body produces but does not use insulin.  for some reason or another, it is now.  could be several things ~ he is off pig's ears (p.e.'s his absolute favourites), my roomie does healing touch on him and/or i have been feeding him greenies made mostly of green veggies and fats.  NOTHING else has really changed.

Wings, for what it's worth, most older people say someone is stealing their things.  We hear this constantly from my Mom.  I just wonder what causes it with them, as to the workings of the brain at this age and stage in life.
 
Rhune, so glad you little one is better.  I also take nasonex, great stuff, keeps me from taking sinus medication all winter!
 
EG. sorry you are having such a time with the doggie.  So sad!
