Every once in awhile, I check past history on people who were reported missing as reported by AMBER ALERT
.  What a great Organization.
 
I'm not good with numbers but it appears their live recovery is higher than 99%.  And....I could be very wrong, but it seems that these abductions a slightly fewer.  I don't know if that would be due to AA or kidnapping is more difficult during the winter.  At any rate - I applaud their successes.  
 
The following AA was issued this date and we can keep our eyes on it to see how quick was the recovery.
 
Amber Alert Issued for 13 Year Old Washington Girl

The Mount Vernon Washington police and the Washington State police issued the Amber Alert after the girl was abducted from her home late Tuesday night.  
 
Rufina Cortes-Sanchez was abducted Tuesday night in Mount Vernon Washington.  
 
She is an Hispanic female, 13 yrs., 4' 8", and 85 lbs. with a black ponytail that hangs to the middle of her back.  
 
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a light blue long-sleeve shirt and white tennis shoes.  
 
Police are looking for Gabriel Flores-Lopes an Hispanic male, 23 yrs., 5' 1", 140 lbs. he has a mustache and was last seen wearing blue jeans and a brown hooded jacket or sweatshirt  
 
The suspect vehicle is a red 1994 Ford Escort with Washington license plates 207 RRU. They may be headed to Molalla Oregon.  
 
Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or (877) 252-3735

 Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool How wonderful. I know that here in Arizona the Amber Alerts don't seem to last very long before the child is recovered safely. I also applaude all their efforts.

This is just such a great program - here are all the children recovered in the last month that amber alerts were run on.  It's hard to say how many were recovered specifically because of the amber alert and not a private tip, etc. but you know at least some of these were found or the search was aided by the amber alert:

Wisconsin has had one Amber Alert in the past month.  Both girls were recovered safely the next day, and their mother located beaten, but alive in a storage shed.
