I think it depends on what's going on.  The Grapevine, for instance, is a chitchat forum, and being such, is a place where we post our happy/sad times, have questions or answers, make announcements or respond to other posts.
 
Personally, I don't usually post for the post numbers and I don't start a new thread just for the sake of starting a new thread.  
 
I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed there are mucho game threads in TG.  Now (obviously), I'm not anti-games but, OTOH, I'm thinking we could have a separate forum for gaming.  
 
Did I make any sense to you Avs?  That being said - I would find it impossible for me to vote on your poll.  Sorry.  :hug:

I really can't vote either.  I enjoy doing both. And I'm the same as Wings.  I have never posted at any board to get my post count up.  Also, posting in the Grapevine is a no-brainer for me.  To post in other forums requires more thought.

well.. me too... I can say that i don't like the other more than the other... i usually post replies or comments on current issues or topics as I feel so... and seldomly post new topics whenever i got something i'd like to share or inquire.... Grin

I vote choice number three. (I know it isn't listed, but I'm making it up.  Grin ) I read a lot more than I post, and I rarely start new threads. I don't have a lot of time these days, and it's all I can do to just try to keep up with everybody as much as I can.  I've never been a particularly inventive thread starter anyway.  Wink
