Your top 3 favorite animals and why?

I wanna know cuz I dearly love animals... and I wanna see different people's opinions about them... mine... which is hard to rate which is first... but oh well...

1. Snake - cuz I feel like they are misunderstood, and are very graceful yet dangerous creatures... They are unique and can be humble and grand at the same time!

2. Wolf - almost the same reason as the snake. I also love their eyes, their howl, the way they walk... and there is this aura in them that makes them mysterious!

3. Raven - graceful flyers, one of the most intelligent (like the wolf) birds; I love their overall built and I love black - and they are black from beak to feet; creepy in a nice way!

I like Bassett Hounds (sp?) Cause they'll lay on the porch with you all day long.....

animals.. hmm.. i'm not an animal lover yet.. I would say I like dogs, fish, and rabbits... Grin

sweet.. pardon me to ask but do you have a wolf and a raven or have seen one in the flesh?.. i'm not sure but I know that both animals are not inhabitants of any forest or jungle in our country and i don't know of any petshop here that sells them especially the wolf... how did they become your favorites if you don't have one (unless of course you purchased one)... or you just liked them because of their wild characteristics and not as a domesticated pet....

because for me.. for a wild animal... i liked the elephant.. gentle...

I do have a raven and 2 snakes. As of wolves, just at a zoo. I dont have one... for now. So yeah, I base them on their beauty and their characteristics and mystique they bring...

I love dogs. My favorites are basset hounds, beagles, and shar peis.

I also love cats because I love my cat.

I'm moving my post here because it was completely offtopic where I posted it.

Animal/pet talk is close to my heart. It would be easier to list those that are my least fav than the other way around.

Do you have fox? And raccoons? Awww, they're so much fun. Squirrels are cool too, but if you're a bird-feeder, then you have to squirrel-proof them.

We had some "practically" tame bluebirds. Early in the evening, when we sat "outback", the bluebirds would come around, doing their jibber jabbing. Sometimes I would go grab a rake or hoe and dig a little soil up for them. That way they could have a late snack and by golly, I think they actually appreciated it.

I miss the song of the bluebirds and the cardinals. Well, I have my memories......

I am such an animal lover that I am not a meat-eater. I am a strict vegetarian...nearly vegan. I don't judge people who are meat eaters but I can't and won't eat meat.

I suppose some of my favorite animals are mammals. I like dolphins and manatee (that would be dugong for those of you in the Philippines). My daughter LOVES horses. I especially love dogs and my favorite breeds are greyhounds and poodles.

As of my least, well... I love animals too so its hard... but I am not fond of earthworms or any worms for that matter and some crazy insects. But when we are talkin cool animals, well, hmmm its hard really. I cant think of anything for now... I always watch Animal Planet when nothing else is good in cable, and thus, almost all animals amazes me.
